I was just watching Comedy Central Network on TV and a trailer for the next episode of Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn came on. I'm not a big fan of the show, I think the contributing guests are unaware of their ignorance and basically state unresearched (and to me on occasion, offensive) statements in an attempt to generate laughs. Anyways, there was a woman on the trailer who said (looked quite serious to me):

There would be no war if women were in power.

I don't like to categorize, especially along gender lines. Do you think there is any validity to this statement? Who governs better, men or women? What is your idea of governing well? Wars are essential in providing a little kick when the economy gets poor, would the global economy be poorly affected by a staunchly anti-war governing body?

there is no validaity to that statement. war is going to be around as long as people are around nop matter if a woman is in power or not. plan and simple. its always been that way and it always will be

There would be no war if women were in power. . . . because they'd be to busy talking.

I think that if a woman was in power there'd be a conflict every 28 days. Nukes might get launched on her heavy days.

I think women hold a grudge longer than men. Also I can see a global catastrophe every month around the same time.

The commentary above was meant to be a joke, don't take it too seriously.

Don't take it personally...huh Joe? I'm taking names...just so I know who to take my monthly frustration out on.

There are plenty of women that are pro-war. Plenty of women willing to fight and die. But, I do think the lack of testerone would be a good thing when dealing with global issues that could lead to aggression...

Is that enough words for you guys? since women gab too much I don't wanna make this too long--your lil pea brains might explode.

How about Mrs. T, when she put the smack down on Argentina? I think plenty of women are pro-war, the whole soccer mom-to-safety mom demographic is said to have supported the Iraq 'war'.

Rant, lol @ cold war. I know exactly what you mean!

What about Margret Thatcher. She took Britian to war in the Faulklands. She was one mighty Bitch man, she messed up our country. I think a women would be just as good as male President. Noone could be as bad as Bush anyways.
