Looks like the fans are putting pressure on the club to go after and sign Nicky Butt who is available for about 5 million from Man U,this would be a great signing for spurs if they can find the cash to do it.

News from the US is that Spurs are trying to sign USA's soccer superkid DaMarcus Beasley in a 500,000 deal. DaMarcus himself is keen on the deal and could fly over in the next few days.

TRD never heard of him,but i guess some of our US friends will have?

Looks like Chris Hughton is optimistic Tottenham will not be put off in their bid to land Paul Robinson and James Milner just because Leeds rejected their initial 5million bid for the pair.Leeds told Spurs they would only be interested if the offer was doubled but Spurs are unlikely to meet those demands, although they might return with an improved offer for just England goalkeeper Robinson.

More bad news for Spurs as Stephane Dalmat says that he is unlikely to stay at Tottenham Hotspur beyond the end of his loan spell that expires in the summer.
The French playmaker is on loan from Internazionale and after a quiet start to life at White Hart Lane, is now a favourite with the Spurs faithful. The club's fans would love to see Dalmat stay in North London but he admits that is unlikely.

It is rumoured that Dalmat would cost 10 million to sign permanently, a price Spurs would not be willing to fork out.

Tottenham caretaker manager David Pleat expects Leeds United's Paul Robinson to complete his proposed move to White Hart Lane in the summer. One or two deals were suggested to Leeds. Spurs wanted them to have the money now but keep the player until the end of the season but it was complicated due to registration.

I agree,i don't think Kasey Keller is that good a goal keeper,he has been letting in too many goals.I know the defence hasn't been playing that well but he should be commanding the penalty box and sorting them out.

Good news though as Tottenham defender Ledley King has agreed a new contract at White Hart Lane.News of the deal comes just over a week after the 23-year-old defender scored on his full debut for England against Portugal.King, who first broke into the Tottenham team in 1999, has become a key figure in the Spurs' defence, although his more recent outings have been in midfield.

Latest rumours are that Spurs will sign Javier De Pedro as a replacement for the departing (on a bosman) Christian Ziege.
The Sociedad midfielder is also available on a Bosman and is thought to be more keen on a move to the London club than to either Blackburn or Southampton. He will sign on a three-year contract worth about 3m.Also arriving at White Hart Lane are Thomas Gravesen (4m and Ricketts) and Matthew Upson (4.5m).

This is what we like to see LOL!

Spurs getting beat bi Bolton 2-0..

Spurs should drop another couple of places in the league and if they didn't have that good little run awhile back they could have been staring relegation in the face..!!

Spur's are so lucky your right,it's still not impossible for them to go down but it's very unlikly. They got some good results early on in the season which may have saved there azzes.I reckon they will struggle a bit next season but the teams that are going to come up from the first are worse than the ones that came up this season.

Tottenham are trailing Laszlo Bodnar, according to the Hungary international's agent Sandor Varga.
Bodnar is owned by Dynamo Kiev but is currently representing, of all teams, the Ukrainian side Arsenal.

The 24-year-old is a powerful, solid defender, who can also do an effective holding job in midfield.

He was in the news when clashing with Wales star Robbie Savage in an international match, with the Birmingham City midfielder accusing his adversary of spitting.

Unhappy Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has branded the club's season as 'unacceptable' and promised major changes at White Hart Lane next season. Spurs have endured a disappointing season which saw them on the outskirts of the relegation fight after a disastrous run of form.

The North London club will be seeking to appoint a new manager in the summer having had David Pleat in caretaker charge since the sacking of Glenn Hoddle in September.Levy admitted in the club's programme notes before Saturday's win over Blackburn Rovers that expectations have not been met and has vowed to turn around the club's fortunes.

Let's hope Spurs go one better next season and get relegated. Oh man would that make my day.

Tottenham have begun a clear-out at White Hart Lane with Darren Anderton, Christian Ziege and Gus Poyet all being released at the end of the season.

Anderton and Ziege have both struggled with injuries recently while 36-year-old Poyet is no longer the force he was when he arrived from Chelsea in 2001.

However, captain Jamie Redknapp, who has also struggled with injuries, has been awarded a new one-year deal after he and the club came to an agreement over a contractual issue which stated he was entitled to a two-year extension provided he played a certain number of matches.

Leeds have claimed they had agreed a £2m cash deal with Tottenham for England goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

Earlier Spurs reported that the deal was worth only £1.5m.

The deal is set to go through at the weekend subject to Robinson agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Robinson almost joined Spurs during the January transfer window but the move fell through because Leeds wanted Spurs to loan him back to them for the remainder of the season and that was against Premier League rules.
