part of the Hate-America-International, which has orchestrated a number of street "events" in support of the Taliban and the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein since 2001. FACT - UK Police have identified 1000 insugents in todays protests from unidentified countries. (source- Metropolitan Police Force 14:00GMT)

FACT - we know who they are and are watching them

The London demonstration is planned and will be supervised in the best Stalinist

traditions still in force in North Korea.

I hope you didn't exhaust your last three brain cells thinking of that putdown. What's the matter? Did someone just beat you to the last can of discounted spam at the Goodwill Store? Like I said in another post; As long as the American electorate is convinced that its interests are best served by electing a warmongering dunderhead, the only 'solution' is prompt assassination of said warmongering dunderhead. What America needs is a new generation of Lee Harvey Oswald, Giuseppe Zangara, and John Wilkes Booth! As a fellow sociopath, Bush is right up there with the great destroyers of our age. As Bush runs amuck though ancient civilizations searching for the elusive Mr bin Laden, et al, Afghanistan and Iraqi have been reduced to penury and rubble. Has he found him? Nope, but CNN and the manufacturers of cluster bombs, body bags, prosthetic limbs, etc, have done rather well out of it. You're not a fool because you hate bush politics, it's totally natural.

The thread might disappear if it isn't trimmed down to a paragraph and a link to the article added, if it is a cut and paste.

As far as the thread otherwise, I feel quite confident in saying that we Americans are fully aware of the fact that Britain is not full of idiots merely because of a bunch of morons getting press.

Please don't think we are all idiots simply because in my country we have morons in Congree that are liberal Democrats.

hey thomas crowne, i'm fairly sure that's not what the people form the UK here have posted, i think they firmly believe that those people you just called idiots, were demonstrating because they believe they've been lied to, been forced into a war by your president, and a war in which they didn't want to be involved, and the majority of Britons would rather shove a banger in their ass then have your president there on a state visit. The coalition of the willing? Whatever.

At least both the UK and the US are free enough societies that you CAN protest. I am all for non violent protests. It shows that some people do care about what is going on around them. Unfortunately, it usually doesn't help. Sometimes yes, but mostly no.

Kudos to those that share their dislike. I turn my back on any protestor that becomes violent.

100k, out of how many Britons that either supported the war or didn't oppose it enough to bother to show up: It's a minority.

Most of the protests over here were like that also (suspect organization groups). Typically, it's the socialist/communist groups. They don't oppose the war as much as they oppose the US. You'll also have your Eco protest lot, the anti-globalist types, anarchists, as well as the free Mumia backers. One such oganizer had ties to the Islamic Jihad.

Couldn't agree more. Oh and Bob, that's 100,00 on a Thursday AFTERNOON!!! That is a staggering number considering the amount of people that must've took the day off work or something, and was FAR more than expected. Just think of what the numbers would've been if it was held at the weekend.

Probably twice the number - still falling short of the countryside alliance march

I guess the majority of this country are in favour - as they were when Cruise Missiles were deployed here - protest is encouraged - but when the numbers fall short there is allways an excuse
