For the record, I'm a Catholic Scientist. Don't know if that's relevant to everyone, but there it is anyway.

I've pondered the idea that the Immaculate Conception might have come about through a biological process that manifested in the womb of the Virgin Mary.

No either way about it...FlyersFan was correct, and I immediately saw my error when he mentioned Mary. They are two distinctly different accepted doctrines, by Papal authority.

Immaculate Conception - The belief that God intervened in the conception of Mary (not Jesus) and that she was born free of original sin. I believe this is celebrated on Dec. 8th, but the true die-hards will have to correct me.

Virgin Birth (or Incarnation) - The belief that Jesus was born without the need of a father.

Didn't want to get too far off topic, but did want to clear this up...as I was the one that incorrectly tossed out the term.

Oddly enough, my wife had the same idea (that Immaculate Conception was about Jesus), and asked what mistake I made when I commented on me making a religious error (as that always cracks her up for some reason)..and she's a Catholic since childhood!

I just LOOOOOOVE to see when people say that ... FlyersFan was correct. But just another 'for the record' ... I'm a girl! Not a 'he'.

Merry Christmas Gazrok!

That would be me .... a true die-hard (mostly). Yes, the feast of the Immaculate Conception is December 8th. It is a high feast day and a holy day of obligation. (you have to go to mass).

That is another hint that the Immaculate Conception isn't Christ. The feast of the Immaculate Conception happens about 3 weeks before Christmas. Gestation is 9 months - and the conception of Christ is celebrated on March 25th (also the feast of St. Dismas - the 'good thief' who died being crucified next to Christ).

Check this out:

The Pagan Origins of Christ and Christianity

At the time of the life or recorded appearance of Jesus of Nazareth, and for some centuries before, the Mediterranean and neighboring world had been the scene of a vast number of pagan creeds and rituals. There were Temples without end dedicated to gods like Apollo or Dionysus among the Greeks, Hercules among the Romans, Mithra among the Persians, Adonis and Attis in Syria and Phrygia, Osiris and Isis and Horus in Egypt, Baal and Astarte among the Babylonians and Carthaginians, and so forth...And an extraordinarily interesting fact, for us, is that notwithstanding great geographical distances and racial differences between the adherents of these various cults, as well as differences in the details of their services, the general outlines of their creeds and ceremonials were - if not identical - so markedly similar as we find them...I may say roughly that of all or nearly all the deities above-mentioned it was said and believed that:

They were born on or very near our Christmas Day
They were born of a Virgin-Mother
And in a Cave or Underground Chamber
They led a life of toil for Mankind
And were called by the names of Light-bringer, Healer, Mediator, Savior, Deliverer
They were however vanquished by the Powers of Darkness
And descended into Hell or the Underworld
They rose again from the dead, and became the pioneers of mankind to the Heavenly world
They founded Communions of Saints, and Churches into which disciples were received by Baptism
And they were commemorated by Eucharistic meals

WOW!

What a Coincidence!?!

Could it be, that Christmas was STOLEN?

OMG?

And that they were ALL born to Virgin Mothers?

OMG!?!

WHAT DO WE DO NOW?!?

What exactly are people celebrating on Christmas?

Hercules?

Mithra?

Adonis?

Osiris?

Baal?

Krishna?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

I thought that was fairly common knowledge, hehe... Christmas is one of the most jumbled together holidays there is, combining everything from Pagan, Christianity, and Celtic, German traditions amongst others....

Oh, and sorry on the gender FF....

She could not have been a reptilian because she did not exist. Neither did Jesus and nor does God. Yup, no Jesus, no Mary and definitely no God.

So she only exists in people's minds. No offense, but is that where you get most of your dates, in your imagination?

It's the only logical conclusion, either that or she was a giant earthworm, and that would just be rediculous.

And saying that the Virgin Mary was a reptilian isn't ridiculous?

Seriously .. the metaphysical explaination of God sending His Son into the world to save us is MUCH MORE credible than Mary being a reptile.

FF, that is a very good point!!! We, here on earth, take all of these 'tales' from the bible for truth at face value, then, when an alternative theory pops up, it is laughed off, while it meanwhile is as beliveable as some bible scripture.

"The height of arrogance is the height of control of those who create God in their own image." - Ramtha

I would add that the second height of arrogance is those who laugh off alternative theories and those who think of them. After all the world is flat and at the center of the universe.

I had a theory after watching a history channel program one night, couple of beers deep, that Mary could have been raped by some Romans, and was too ashamed to say anything about it. Then she just went with the whole imaculate conception flow....

Yep she's a reptilian alright. Just look at those snakey eyes! And that little guy is obviously a Gecko too!

Considering that Mary was only 11-12 years old when she gave birth to Isa, I don't think those pictures are very accurate

This topic is both humorous as well as informative to a degree. It does raise the issue that Mary could have very well formed Isa through the same process that scientists have observed in lizards. I once read that when the female produces two ovaries, the ovaries are capable of fertilizing each other as well. I don't know the credibility of what I read, but if anyone would like to confirm, please give me your input.

First a couple of corrections... lowd is spelled loud and alot is two words; a lot.

Let me assume that you don't have a grammar school education. Education is the key to understanding; without it you are in the dark; which is obviously where you are.

The Reptilians ("Myth")

The Serpent Race.

They showed up about 15,000 years ago when the earth was in the 5th orbit looking for a home, or base, and a food source. They warred with earth’s inhabitants by tossing asteroids at the earth’s surface. When they ran out of asteroids, they manufactured balls of rock and used those as their cannon balls. Remnants can still be found down in Costa Rica; there are thousands of them. The food source is us.

Since they live in water half or more of the time, they needed a place to sleep. Using their gravity beam, they focused it on the continent of Mu, snapped it and blew the continent into outer space. This tilted the earth on its axis and caused a wobble in the planet that exists to this day.

Now with a quarter of the planet missing, the remaining continents shifted thousands of miles to try and rebalance the planet. This is why the contour of South America matches Africa.

Next they brought the water from Mars to Earth to fill up their new swimming pool… the Pacific Ocean. This is the reason that there is no great land mass in the Pacific… and no water on Mars. This and only this was the cause of the Great Flood.

Now they live 36,000 feet below the surface in the Mariana Trench and underground beneath our feet where they snack on children. This is why there are over 800,000 children missing annually.

The planet Earth was then moved to the 3rd orbit where it exists today. The rest of the planets reshuffled to try and rebalance the Solar System. Basically, it looks like a runaway freight train came through our Solar System with a vacant spot between Mars and Jupiter where a planet should be.

Where is the continent of Mu? It exists as an asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter where the earth used to reside.

If all of this is a lie, then…

Why are there over 200 craters on the earth?

Why are there thousands of manufactured spherical stone balls of rock in Costa Rica with a tolerance of only 3mm?

Why is there a vacant spot between Mars and Jupiter?

Why is there an asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter?

Why is there no water on Mars?

Why is there an abundance of water on Earth?

Why was there a Great Flood?

Why is there no great land mass in the Pacific?

Why did earth’s continents move thousands of miles?

Why is there a tilt in the earth’s axis?

Why does the earth have a wobble?

Why are there 800,000+ children missing annually?

I'd appreciate any intelligent comment.
