The evidence is so compelling to be quite funny when I see people denying it.

All species are evolving all the time. With every generation, evolution takes place. Withe every new version of the flu and aids virus, bacteria that become immune to antibiotics, with new species of organisms being shown to have evolved.

But if you want a cat evolving into a dog style of evolution, you may have to either wait a while or use the historical and genetic evidence we have.

I want the cold hard proof of macro-evolution.

we did NOT evolve from chimps
both chimps and humans evolved from a common ancestor

how about the austriopithicines (i butchered the spelling)
if you're trying to argue against human evolution, you're in for a firestorm of evidence

And that is still evolution. Macroevolution is just large scale change over large periods of time.

It's your thread, and I agree with speaker that this is really a waste of time, been here before, I think you're understanding of science is basic but I'll follow through. I was just successfully showing that your initial statement about colour vision and animals were way off the mark.

Wait, you're asking for evidence of science? There's nothing wrong with your faith and beliefs, but there is no evidence that you are right. Be at peace in your faith. But you can't claim that your unanswered questions are evidence of God's existence and then deny the evidence of evolution.

Take a class on evolution and listen. You'll get all the evidence you need.

All I'm seeing is words, i want something that i can touch and see.

Well, then you can easily take a look around and see that we are a product of evolution. And it's not just guessing, there's REAL evidence, not just speculation.

If he is open to learning I would suggest he reads Ken Miller's book 'Finding Darwin's God'. Faith and acceptance of the validity of evolution need not conflict.

Exactly...We don't know how.. Evolution is a theory as to how it happened. That is all that it is.

Yes, I know it cannot disprove faith, but I want them to realize you also need faith to believe in evolution.

We need faith to believe we're alive. We need faith to believe in love. We need faith to have hope. But not necessarily faith in God.

I guess your not aiming for a career in science or any area that requires proper evidence and critical analysis.

Yes, I know it cannot disprove faith, but I want them to realize you also need faith to believe in evolution.

The theory of evolution does not require belief without evidence. I provided a source of evidence for you earlier.
