My bootcamp pic. God I miss that uniform. Everyone said I was born to wear it.

There are more pics in my photobucket- I can't beleive how much I change from pic to pic. Seems like I can't keep my weight or facial hair stable for more than a few months at a time. If I hadn't gone bald my hair style and color would be fluctuating just as rapidly.

If it's the same Catalina I'm thinking about, it's off the West Coast of the United States, in Southern California.

Yeah, Catalina was really awesome. It's off the coast of California, we departed from Long Beach and it took about an hour to get there. I look kinda funny in the picture, I think I was positioned a little awkwardly, but I never take good picture...so oh well. We spent about 2 days in San Diego, and then left for Catalina and spent about 3 days there. I can show you more pics of the place if you'd like .

Yes yes more pics! It's gorgeous! I love tropical things, clear blue water, lot's of boats, and tiny villages... It's my idea of quaint living.. oh which I adore!

Oh gosh, i'm even hesitant to get an answer to that!

Then Catalina might be the place for you, TrueLies . Although it doesn't have as many small villages, it's got the clear blue water, plenty of boats, and awesome scenery.


This first picture is just a picture I took from the beach, it's a part of the island, and I think that little building you see is actually a house.


This is a picture my mom took of stupid me kayaking. Although you can't see it so well here, that water is really clear. You can see a good 10 or 15 feet down into the water before it gets too dark. Funny story, my mom actually dropped her camera in the water off of my uncle's houseboat! I tried to get it for her, but I couldn't go down far enough, or I think my head would have exploded. Amazing enough, some guy came by on a boat, my aunt asked him for help, and he was actually able to go down and get it for her! I think he does this kind of stuff for people all the time, but still pretty awesome. And even more amazing, the memory card still works!!!! In fact, that's where some of these pictures came from. It's a good thing too, because she has pictures of my great uncle, who might not be around for too much longer, on there.


This one is an overview of the cove we were in. (I say cove, but more like a city. It's called Avalon. Sounds RPGish, huh?). That big round building is pretty amazing. It actually used to be a casino about 100 years ago, but it was turned into a movie theatre. They only play one movie, at two different times. We saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory . The whole inside of the place is still decorated like a casino. It has the big dome ceiling, with old artwork on it, and a real stage that they just put the movie screen behind. I spent a lot of time looking at the artwork on the wall rather than the movie haha.


This is just my family (Minus my mom, she was taking the picture) on one of the roads where we drove the golf cart.


This is another over-view of the island .


And here's some of the house-boats. It was getting later at night and it's pretty cloudy, but normally the water's all nice and blue and stuff .


And there's one last view of the island from the houseboat. I'm a little short on time, but I'll try to post some at a later date. Stupid me I didn't take any from inside of the city . Enjoy for now!!!

I don't know if i'd like to live there the island is kind of rugged looking, but definitely want to visit and stay for awhlie...

They shoudl turn that building back into a casino, i'm sure they would make more money and people would like that better... Casino entertainment is always fun, gets you in the spirit of throwing away your money....lol, if you lack self control that is.

Yes please post more pictures, I love the water and the little community of boats... I notice a bunch of old people own those boats... Isn't that always the way eh. Hopefully before i'm 25 i'll have a boat of my own. Hoping!
