Strong British influence there, but it's not London. In fact let's go ahead and eliminate all of Europe.

Very close. It's in Africa, and I gave you the name of the Library. Now...what city

Kenya (Nairobi)?

Most of Kenya’s major libraries and museums are located in Nairobi. These include the McMillan Memorial Library; Memorial Library; the University of Nairobi Library; the Kenya National Archives, which includes a small museum; and the National Museum, which features historical and cultural exhibits. The museum at Fort Jesus in Mombasa, featuring archaeological and historical artifacts from the coast, is the most significant museum outside the capital.

That's it! We lived in Nairobi, Kenya from 1978 - 1980. Pretty cool place. I'll have to drag out some more pictures of it when I get them. We used to eat 2-3 times a week in the US embassy that was bombed. We'd sit out on the 2nd floor patio usually. It's right on the equator, so the weather is usually pretty nice.

I overlooked where you mentioned the name of the library.....

Sounds like that would have been a fun place to spend some time in your childhood....Africa is number one on my list of places to travel to....

On a semi-related subject...Ever see Nowhere in Africa? Awesome movie....Really utilizes a mixture of some of Africa's most beautiful scenery and cultures along with the ugly political turmoil of the Nazi regime....makes for quite a compelling storyline....

I know I've been stuck in Wales since September of 2004, but the place is pretty nice. Here is a pic of me in deep thought
as I finally reached the top of some random hilly area (it's Wales, what do you expect?)
