coverup in antarctica?

interesting site.. but it says it was written in 2001... im sure if there were anything to the outbreak story or the lake vostok find there would be more suspicious activity occuring there still? seems like mcmurdo would be an easy place to get information about, given that its publically funded (i think) and has such a large number staff/researchers from many different organizations/companies/countries.

Here's the thing...
In Antarctica, about a mile (give or take) below the ice caps; a city was found. Not one with clay jars and stone knives for relics, but it was VERY ADVANCED. It was like finding a transistor as a relic among the paramids. Details are sketchy at this point, but my sources say it has put archeology in a paradox.

Check out Raytheon Polar Services. They are hiring many people for work in Antartica. I was kinda thinking about summers in Alaska and then winters in Antartica, where it would be summer, during my regular winter period,lol. The season there is Oct to Feb for most services.

My brother works for Raytheon Polar Services - he's spent a total of over 5 years in Antarctica. I've talked to him extensively about the theories regarding "secret programs" down there. He's seen/heard absolutely nothing about any of those whatsoever. He knows hundreds of people that go down there off-and-on throughout the year. They consist of generally those in the construction trade and scientists studying the environment. IMO there's enough evidence to suggest that something DID occur there after the war, but as for currently...I just don't see it. But hey, it's a VERY big place, you never know.

Well, this is what i have heard, a tv crew called @talntis tv or something went missing in antarctica. they supposedly had video of "ruins" 1 1/2 to 2 miles below the ice. There is a book written about this called "atlantis rising" which has supposedly been censored by the us government. As for the description of atlantis if you look at certain pictures from orbit there are concentric circles(as described by plato) under the ice. I have tried to find out more about this but info is rare and repetitive.

hi. I was reading the posts, though I'm a little late. I recently spent 12 months at the South Pole Station. I emailed my buddy today who studies ozone and who knows the guy that has conducted 'back in time' balloon studies here was his reply:

the reason I posted is that some time ago I tried to find in the library books where information was included about the nazi expeditions in the antartic the only thing i know is that before the war begon they did masive expeditions and took much sample's ( i readed somwhere they did take samples dont remember the source) annyway I do know that they take samples and find very nice specimens in the present I mean the scientist who are in the antartic

I remeber seeing a thread here some months ago about some link to a site so annyway I looked further about the expeditions the only thing

I concluded (subjective) that in most history books the nazi expedions arent almost not mentioned so history is realy written by the conquerer it seems...

that was my impression maybe I dint founded the book i wanted in my librabry so I could always look in the head-library someday in the capital.

because I would be surprised that noone has written a book about the subject.

the reason that made me curious is that they find stuff in the snow and some some conspiraty sites mentioned that maybe the u boat the germans sended to antartica and later surendered had to drop some virus off im sceptic about it but i wanted to proof it wrong to myself and find some good book to understand how massive the nazi's where in their expeditions and objevtives .

annyway I do believe antartica is a treasure for every natural science so what i want to know is how much energy did the germans invested into antartica.

Nobody has mentioned Lake Vostok yet. I remember alot of chatter here and at other sites about something going on there a few months ago but havent heard anything since.

maybe they found atlantis and personel is there to look at all the great tech which is more advanced then ours even if they are long lost and dead civilisation.

but civilisations come and go so a more technological advanced civilisation may have been on earth long ago but because of somthing they
were destroyed.

Lake Vostok, There is a drilling operation underway there that the Russians are doing. Unfortunately, they do not think that they will reach the lake's level. which is inder 2.5 miles of ice, until 2007 or 2008.

i think u may be onto somthing here mate i mean it is the perfect hiding place and is not that easy to access. i even think that area 51 is just a public smoke screen and that the true (testing grounds ) could well be antartica. i mean think bout it everybody whos anybody now knows about area 51 they wouldnt however know if it was antartica tho mate what u think.

The logistics involved with testing secret air projects in Antarctica would be astronomical. The environment there is extermely inhospitable, and detrimental to the tesing of aircraft. The major testing ground for secret US aircraft is Area 51 is southern Nevada. Its not Dugway or Green River or Bascombe Down or Antarctica.

Long time ago on the news I heard that scientists are going to try to rip a whole in the "fabric" of the univese via a very large laser. And they were going to do it in Antarctica, because well...Where else?

Now, "Deception Point" by Dan Brown has an interesting story, government conspiracy etc. taking place on Antarctica. Nothing related to the thread, but it takes place on Antarctica (I think, read it last year) and it's a fun read. Good book.

first off all, I rwad a while back something about Hitler that went along the lines of this - Hitler wanted to make a human(NAZI) presence in Antartica during the world war so he sent a battalion there to discover the place and an appropriate spot for a base. What they uncovered there was a large geo-thermal area under the ice sheet. Now the Antartic ice-sheet is over 4km thick and pushes the continent down considerably due to the weight. Dont ask me how they found it, but the story goes that they hot gasses coming out of the ground created a dome underneath the ice, of it's own little sustainable environment with fresh water, plant and animal life and clean air, whilst at the top of the underground dome, the cold coming down from above kept the roof of the dome solidly frozen. After Hitler was defeated, and the US was analysing Nazi records they came across this report and sent downm a few battalions to investigate. Think this was upto 5 years after the war wa over. The scientists down there in the antartic had no idea the war was over and a skirmish took place.

I beleive Hitler was using this base to conduct his NAZI-UFO developements and as with the other NAZI scientists, the USA took the all to work for them which is quite possibly continuing to this day.

Yes, I too briefly heard something last year about some sort of natural vortex appearing above the surface of antarctica and scientists sending up a baloon with a camera on a string that dissapeared and when they pulled it back down saw that an extroardinary amount of time had passed on the camera when in actual time it didn't pass much time at all.

This all smells to me of the Philadelphia Experiment but much more further develped, and who's gonna see what the military is doing in Antartica when there is now public human presence and no media.

I tried looking over Antarctica using Google Earth. They won't give you more than 50% zoom, and they look like low-res pictures. It's possible they didn't think anything in Antarctica was worth using 100% zoom and high-res pics, but after reading this thread you can't help but wonder if they're intentionally hiding something.

That's what makes the area so good for this type of stuff. Satellites don't get high quality pictures of it, at least not public.

I seem to remember that the German's had been conducting experiments during WWII. Or was it up at the Artic?

Someone else has been saying this a bit, but honestly, if the US is going to have an ultra remote secret base somewhere, it'd most likely be on one of the many atolls and islands in the South Pacific that were used for nuclear testing back in the 50s or something. Think about just how remote that is... and much nicer weather, much closer to the states, radiation as an excuse to keep people away (even if they did manage to sail the thousands of nautical miles to it, and who'd be seen literally days away). Why would they bother with Antarctica.

My Dad spent a few winters down in Antarctica at one of our Australian bases, not as a scientist but an engineer. This year is going to be 30 years since he was down there, and we'll catch up with most of the personel from the base. I can ask some questions, but I'm not going to make myself (or my Dad) look like an idiot!

The only strange thing I can think of off the top of my head is one guy who doesn't come to any of the reunions or keep in contact with any of the others. Apparently he had a bit of an psychological episode down there, paranoia about the other members of the team there. Remember that when you wonder why it's so hard to get down there: they test you and test you to make sure you'll be able to be confined in a small building for 9 months with another 20 people. And despite the testing, some people with hidden issues can still make it through.

well antartica is one place where you can go very easy into space without flying over areas with many big cities or populated areas. remember that there are some major big fireballs going over australia recent years all coming from the skies above antartica.

Seeing as it is the location of one of the poles, it would be a neccesity if you were going to do any EM manipulation of the earth and the ionosphere for anything. Maybe something related to 2012, the sun putting out more energy, all these mysterious energy blasts hitting the region and what you'd do about it here on earth if you were expecting it.
