I was not suggesting darkspace's involvement. This is the Antarctic time travel article to which I referred. It sort of brought interest in Antartica back on the radar screen. And it fits nicely with the Stargate Atlantis plot line. www.newmediaexplorer.org...

i think the 1946 just after WW2 activity there is interesting too as the Russians helped the USA there too in that operation.

Also dont forget when they got back from the mission above the commander in charge who was a top person said something about crafts that could travel from pole to pole in mins or hour???? any way super fast well beyond what we had then an even today tbh commercialy anyway, they were meant to be saucer shaped too, and were considered a threat an not friendly.

Lets see i just had a thought, ROswell 1947 was 1 year after the USA an Russia deploy a massive fleet to Antartica.........

1946: USA, Russia, deploy massive fleet to Antartica casualties happen, threat of disc shapped crafts that can travel from pole to pole super fast, are considered a threat.

1947: Roswell ufo, disc shapped, reported captured.

1952: UFO's buzz an hover Whitehouse lots people see it and is documented by pictures, goverment say it was birds, next night they return an do same thing again clearly not birds.

nothing else after this ^^^^^^ whitehouse buzz, goverment does not talk about it even to today, yet we can go look at old newspapers an see it documented.............................

It was all Andr�a Epps fault he built a ufo with the help of skoda then the nazis probably had a base out in Antarctica the Americans and the Russians wanted the tech [which they got anyway when they employed the German scientists after the war] so they launch an operation to take out the last of the saucer flying nazi's.

Then after realizing they could travel to worlds beyond ours and then realizing they had an ignorant bunch of morons here on earth they decided to keep it to themselves until the rest of us apes became worthy or they discovered our immediate universe was under the control of greys who told them they couldn�t do anything with the tech because earth people were not worthy.

There is a thread around here somewhere on ats which covers the strange anomaly found at Antarctica which has to do with time travel and a strange vortex info that is from other sources then Pravda also you may find this interesting....

Venus has a double vortex at each of its poles which scientists no very little about and some say should actually be impossible.

Personally im on my own personal quest to recover a satellite picture that has been shown on TV of a structure found under the ice in Antarctica which perfectly resembles the description of Platos Atlantis.

So would I. Im still looking, I will find it. One day. I got links to the transcripts of one of the shows I saw the image on, and have been reading through them for reference to it. Nothing yet. I posted a thread about it a while back.

I sense a conspiracy, a conspiracy by the producers of Stargate Atlantis.

Right - allegedly a woman meteorologist/researcher noticed an odd looking donut shaped cloud-like anomaly hovering directly above the magnetic south pole. What sparked her curiosity and led her to investigate further was that this cloud appeared to be completely static, no motion to it whatsoever.

She then sent a weather balloon loaded with the regular instruments up into the center of the gaseous mass to take some readings when the balloon literally vanished from sight into the void with only the rope tether leading up to the donut cloud being still visible.

When she recovered the weather balloon some time later is when she discovered the onboard timer registered 30 years back in time. She repeated the experiment a few times more with different clocks to confirm the earlier findings.

Since then she's apparently dropped off the face of the Earth. I haven't heard any more about it from then on.

Here's all the fun I can think of re: Antartica

1. Antartica is actually two continents rather than one, with a shallow, ice-covered sea between them. This wasn't proven until the 1950's, although it is shown accurately on Rennaisance maps, and well as mentioned in an H.P. Lovecraft Novella, "Beyond the Mountains of Madness."

2. Admiral Perry wanted to be first to the South Pole. He used relays of dogsleds to build a line of base camps. At the limit of his supply line, he flew alone in a plane over the pole. His live radio reports described flying over open, snow free prairies, populated with huge herds of mammoths. The Navy wrote the episode off hallucinations caused by solitude and sleep deprivation. My great-great uncle, (name withheld) was on the expedition, and at one of the final base camps. He wouldn't talk about it much. I believe it was the 1927 expedition.

3. The Nazis, as part of their "Urweltanshaueung" or primordial world-theory, believed that the earth was open at the poles, and that there was a whole world inside the earth. They theorized that Aurora was actually light from huge grass fires in the inner earth.

4. I believe there is a HAARP facility at the American base in McMurdoe Bay. The feds claim it provides global radio listening; others claim it is a global weather weapon, using radio fields to disrupt the earth's protective atmospheric layers over selected areas. Said by some sufferers to be responsible for the "Taos Hum"

Plenty of fodder for the lone questor after truth, I'd think.

As I'm sure others have posted, it is claimed that:

There is a time portal hovering over Antarctica in some dark clouds.
Atlantis exists underneath it.
There are life forms different from our own which occured because that mass of ice was separated and took a different evolution than our own.
Those are a few of the theories that I have heard.

I think I know what might of happened to the meteorologist-researcher. She actually went up into the mysterious cloud in a hot air balloon and is now living in a parallel dimension 30 years ago.

i read some where that after world war 2 there was over 250,000 germans unacounted for and it was thought they had gone to a secret german military base to experiment with alien technology its really interesting stuff!

I agree, something is going on! probably something in regards to Lake Vostok.

First the first to the South Ple was Ronald Amundsen on December 14th, 1911, soon followed by Robert Scott.

Admiral Perry did not got to the South Pole, he was originally creddited with being to the first man to the NORTH Pole Summer 1909, although it is now commonly believed that they did not reach the North Pole due to a navigational error. Admiral Perry died in 1920 so it is doubtful he went on the 1927 expidition you refer to.

You may be thinking of Admiral Bryd who claimed in 1926 to have flown over the North Pole, however it is now accepted that he faked the flight as it was physically impossible for the plane he was flying to make such a journey.

During his first expedition to Antarctica, from 1928 to 1930, Byrd established a base, Little America, on the Bay of Whales. In the course of mapping 388,500 sq km (150,000 sq mi) of Antarctica, members of the expedition discovered the Edsel Ford Range and Marie Byrd Land. In 1929 Byrd made the first flight over the South Pole, together with Balchen and American pilots Harold I. June and Ashley C. McKinley. Byrd was promoted in 1930 to the rank of rear admiral, retired.

Byrd led a second expedition to the Antarctic from 1933 to 1935. During that expedition Byrd conducted meteorological and auroral research alone in a shack for five months 196 km (122 mi) south of Little America. The expedition party surveyed 1,165,500 sq km (450,000 sq mi) of territory and undertook research in many branches of science.

During his third expedition, from 1939 to 1940, four exploratory flights were made, resulting in many discoveries.

In a fourth Antarctic expedition from 1946 to 1947, Byrd explored and mapped approximately 2,188,500 sq km (845,000 sq mi) of territory, about one-third of it newly discovered. Byrd made his second flight over the South Pole before returning to the United States.

In 1955 Byrd was appointed head of �Operation Deep-Freeze,� an Antarctic expedition organized by the United States in connection with the International Geophysical Year (1957-1958). Early in 1956 Byrd made his third flight over the South Pole.

Well, I don't know if it's relevant, but there was a strange vertical laser type line captured on an antarctic webcam a few weeks ago. I put together a time-lapse movie of it in another thread. The image you see is coming straight off the stations own servers.. make of it what you will. I cant figure out what it is.
