I too have worked a lot with photoshop and know what it is capable of. I'm not saying this can't be real but the girl on the right's head just doesn't look quite right to me. It might be a strand of hair, but the outside edge of her hair on that side of her head looks too clean (no strands). I also noticed some kind of smudge between the two girls heads which I circled.

This is an interesting shot for certain... The "line" down the apparition's nose does indeed appear to be a strand of hair from "Girl number two".

I have forwarded this shot off to a couple "gurus" I know who will hopefully foward it to a couple more. IF I get any commentary from them I'll post it here.

Liberalsleep: Would the smudges not be around the "apparition" rather than between the girls' chins? I find the absolute lack of pixel blending/shading or smoothing anywhere around the "ghost" amazing.

Nice catch.

I saw several people say that girl2s hair looks like it was cut and the woman pasted in, but if you look at it closely, you can see it's just because her hair is either up, or the way its over her back, I've seen my girlfriends and sister's hair like that many times in pictures, just food for thought.

Is it just me or does the supposed ghost look a little short? Look at the door frame and compare its distance to the ghost's left elbow. Doesn't it appear to have rather short legs?

Im not a photo expert or anything but i noticed just by messing around with the photo if you sharpen it up the eye of the ghost seems a little square?

there is photograph or picture hanging on the wall to left of the girls it appears to me that the ghost looks like the person in the picture could they be the same person

Just to clarify..The pic has NOT been messed around with in photoshop.

Please remember when ''enhancing'' images you are still applying presest algorithms to already digitised media and it will produce artifacts such as ''squaring'' and colour washout.These things ,however advanced,still work in blocks and squares(pixels) so you have to realise that until you get to a resolution wherupon there are so many block that the eye cant see them, even under intense magnification,oddities WILL occur.

The image was produced using a HP PSC 2350 All-In-One Inkjet Printer, Copier, and Scanner .NO PHOTOSHOP(at least post scanning)

I,m guessing the memory card was inserted from cam phone into scanner.
I would like to see a download direct from source and cutting out the middle man(HP) though.

Is it possible to get the image direct from cam to pc(if the image is still available from the phone cam)It would be beneficial to get the raw image direct.

I took the pic and looked at it in photoshop and noticed that there is more going on the room than just the lady/man behind the girls. I cropped the area around the door to the left and enlarged it and tell me if you see what I see there. It looks just like what paranormalists, etc would call "ectoplasm", wispy strands of something in the air just inside the doorway.


There also seems to be some kind of blurrisness around the door itself. Dunno what it all means but it's certainly interesting, isn't it?

However, I see nothing in the pic that suggests a ghost other than your trusted friend knows of nobody it could have been.

the Lighting is spot on what I would expect, the door frame is Iluminated the same as the Woman, they have strong Tungsten light on the ceiling towards the back of the room, Digi cams(Esp Mobiles) are crap under these Lights, lots of Blooming of The light, the old woman is obviously under that light, ,

If she were an Apperition I wouldent expect one to be illuminated by an external light source as there not a phisical construct (I'm only guessing on that).

Lookes like her mother was walking through the room in the back ground.

also The Proportions are spot on with Lenses like that, they are wide angle Lenses and make things in the background seem smaller and things close up biggler

Is that called Fisheye because of the curviture of the lense??

Well thats what I'm seeing, If your Friend is as trusted as you say then I guess Theres no other explanation than an Apperition.

This is wild!looks real to me.i see her/his?arm and that ectoplasm?And im using my cellphone!Id have your friend get a lil history of former owners.then maybe they still have family around who can id ghost!

To me the apparition looks a lot like D'Arcy from the Smashing Pumpkins. She has a very distinctive look and since im a huge fan I drew an instantaneous parallel between the two.

I usually make up my mind with regards to ghost photo authenticity in seconds. This one has me wondering. I dont see any overt signs of photo manipulation.

I think the mouth the chin and the nostril of the ghost could well be sticking out hairs of the brown girl.
consider that she kipped her head onto the left shoulder where hair becomes bend.

The orange drawn clouds looks to me like dark spots.

I am still irritaed about the color change in the red drawn rectangle. It has the proprtion of a 'duct tape'

also check the red line in the dark I draw between the two living girls.


the ghost face can be seen as a girl/woman looking from behind to the 2 girls (in this case the head proprtion looks right to me) or like a male head if you see it as a pure side profil of a head only. The head looks then too smale for the rest of the body and the head skull proportion is wrong and the face looks a little devilish.

I 'prefer' the first view, a young or old girl/lady. both possible.

The white door has a lot of dirt, so why not the ghost background.

So the ghost face could theoretical be a combination of the browns girls hair, light and dirt.

But there is still the left arm of the ghost. And I don't see how the arm could have been build.

Its an interesting photo, I went to school with a guy who formed his own paranormal research group. Some of you may know him. Joshua P Warren. He heads up the LEMUR Investigations Society. There based in North Carolina. The website has an address to email them anything you'd like. He has written several books, and been on TLC, The Learning Channel, SCIFI, ect. He is a very accomplished professional. You can also google him if you like. I inverted the photo and it looks like the lady is part of the photo and not tampered with, so I would say she might be a residual haunt. They just keep going about there existence doing the same thing over and over. They don't realized your there or anything. Maybe she lived there on the property a long time ago. I tried to upload the pic, but couldnt figure how to do it. It asked for the location of my photo, so copied the address from my properties tab, but nothing happen. Maybe someone can u2u me and teach me something.

If possible can you get another picture of the room from the same angle?

Also why is the corner of the wall behind the ghost so refective as if the ghost is relecting a bright shadow on the wall?
