URGENT WARNING ISSUED 25 November 2003; 0600 EST-- Analysts at the Northeast Intelligence Network have found a disturbing convergence of data pertaining to possible attack operations within the US. On 22 November 2003, analysts found communications that identified the importation and use of ambulances in Iraq as a method of delivery of explosives against military and other targets. Additional information buried deeper in postings on the same jihaddist forum also referred to the use of "trickery" in terms of "outfits" (strict translation) or uniforms (more appropriate translation) relating to the use of ambulances by terrorist operatives. Concurrent with those posts, we found oddly placed references to an attack on the US peppered within the same grouping of messages.



Northeast Intelligence Network Analyst Analyst Sean Osborne noted that Dr. Robert Koontz, PhD, had suggested indications of the possible use of ambulances for the same purposes here in the United States as indicated here. Citing Dr. Koontz:



"I am thus cautioning all security personnel, most especially policemen, but also security personnel around important facilities, such as nuclear power plants, to be alert for a potential terrorist�s ruse that would employ ambulances."



Based on an extensive re-evaluation of the oddly placed Arabic posts in conjunction with the methods being used in Iraq by terrorists through the collective efforts of all analysts of our network, we are unanimously convinced that the advisory issued by Dr. Koontz is not only valid, but must be made known to all security and law enforcement personnel throughout the United States, effective immediately. Accordingly, the Northeast Intelligence Network urges all security personnel and law enforcement agencies to read the full advisory of Dr. Koontz at this link.



ADDITIONAL: Analysts have also found a number of references to "transportation vehicles," especially taxis, that would also indicate their use in an effective delivery of "car bombs."

AL-QAIDA TERRORISTS TO GAS U.S. SUBWAYS?

WorldNetDaily.com reports: "Al-Qaida terrorists have developed a crude device designed to spread deadly cyanide gas through the ventilation systems of crowded indoor facilities such as subways, according to a closely held security directive issued to law enforcement by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and obtained exclusively by WorldNetDaily.

'Al-Qaida remains intent on using chemical or biological agents in attacks on the homeland,' says the internal warning. 'Terrorists have designed a crude chemical dispersal device fabricated from commonly available materials, which is designed to asphyxiate its victims.'

Marked 'For Official Use Only,' the five-page memo issued Friday says the device produces cyanogen chloride gas and hydrogen cyanide gas, and can be placed near air intakes or ventilation systems in crowded open spaces or enclosed spaces.

'These gases are most effective when released in confined spaces such as subways, buildings or other crowded indoor facilities,' adds the Homeland Security memo, which was distributed to federal agencies in anticipation of possible al-Qaida attacks around the end of the Muslim holiday Ramadan, which happens to coincide with Thanksgiving and the start of the regular holiday season.

Citing 'recent information' from al-Qaida sources, the directive also warns of possible car-bombings in America, as first reported yesterday by WorldNetDaily, and advises security officials to take code-red protective measures to guard government buildings and gas and other chemical plants.

I've been following this discussion since the start.... lots of good and informative posts have been made here, including the latest two...

however in my mind, I like to think that the US, has thought of every imaginable attack! I personally don't think that we'll see another terrorist attack on US soil.

I think there will be foiled attempts, but I think everyone, government and civilians are watching and just waiting to catch someone trying to do something.

it is likely an attack is imminent, and if this attack occurs, many casualties' are expected....collateral damage mostly.

it will happen sooner or later, they are simply recruiting people, the appropriate people.

The guy spent a great deal of time on that. But he was wrong, That pdf file was speaking of an attack on Nov. 24th and that has passed. Either way, very neat.

Plot to blow up jet foiled: report

A US television network reported today that British police foiled a plot to blow up a jet on a Britain-US flight with the arrest last week of a suspected Muslim radical.

Sajid Badat, a 24-year-old British Muslim, was charged in London overnight with conspiring to cause an explosion with "shoe bomber" Richard Reid, who is in jail in the United States for trying to blow up a Paris-Miami flight in 2001.

IN a bizarre courtroom outburst, an Indonesian sentenced to death for masterminding last year's Bali nightclub bombings boasted today that an army of holy warriors would soon destroy George W. Bush.

Imam Samudra claimed to have sent "5000 troops from the sky" to India, Iraq and Turkey to fight against the US president.

"God willing, Allah's army will win," he yelled before being bustled from the court by police. It was unclear what he meant by his reference to the sky.

Samudra had been summoned as a witness today in the trial of Heri Hafidin, a minor suspect in the October 12 bombings that killed 202 people, including 88 Australians.

8 December 2003-- Communications found on a elusive jihad web site suggests attacks against New York City, Washington and Las Vegas in the US, and London in the UK. A detailed communications suggesting the spread of weaponized anthrax in New York through disbursement from the air (skyscraper) and the placement of "dirty bombs" in New York and the other cities mentioned were furnished to federal authorities. The federal contact termed the threat "credible" and stated that various other foreign intelligence agencies identified the same or similar communications and reported the same to DHS authorities. No specific information concerning the timing of this event was found.

8 December 2003--In the wake of the al Qaeda videotape released last week, a religious "statement" originally issued by al Qaeda on 7 October 2003 is again being posted and broadcast across numerous jihad Internet forums. The statement reaffirms the jihad against Jews and Christians and "occupiers" of all Muslim lands and continues to threaten more attacks in the Arabian peninsula, with particular emphasis on Saudi Arabia. In addition to the reposting of the statement from al Qaeda, other statements and rulings are prolific, many which seem to call for attacks against the US military throughout the Middle East. A complete listing of the rulings is currently being compiled; we will post them in an expanded section of this web site.



Perhaps most important are communications that suggest that the al Qaeda video is intended to usher in larger and more coordinated attacks against our military assets and troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever they are based. Numerous references have been found that indicate that when the al Qaeda video is broadcast in a certain fashion via a particular news agency, this is to signal the start of operations by al Qaeda operatives already present within the United States. It is relevant to note that among the many items contained in videotape is the praise bestowed upon Abdul Rahman Jabarah. Jabarah is identified as one of "The Martyrs of the Confrontations," having been killed by security forces in Saudi Arabia on 3 July 2003. Jabarah was born in Kuwait, although grew up in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada.



ASSESSMENT: Our current findings are consistent with the information contained in a December 5th, 2003 news story in the USA Today in terms of the increased amount of communications contained on "strategically critical" Internet sites. We initially reported on the increased threat level to the United States on November 26th, 2003 as detailed in this advisory. Current analysis suggests terrorist interests in "soft targets" such as shopping malls, the use of official vehicles to carry out homicide attacks, and the continued interest in aircraft (cargo and passenger) to strike the US during this economically important and religiously significant holiday season. --Jill St. Claire

AN explosion rocked a Sunni mosque in the Iraqi capital Baghdad today and local residents said several people had died.

US Lieutenant Colonel Frank German said from the scene that the explosion occurred shortly after dawn and appeared to have been inside the Ahbab al-Mustafa mosque in central Baghdad.

He had no details about casualties.

17 December 2033-- A New Message from Osama bin Laden Before the Eid Al-Adha Feast: The "Clouds Organization, affiliated with al Qaeda, has stated that a new message/tape featuring Osama bin Laden will be delivered soon, before the feast of Eid Al Adha. Dueing an online conversation, the messenger stated that the tape will arrive or be delivered on the occasion of a "major event that will shake the region." (The messenger) declined or refused to say whether he was currently in possession of this tape, stating that "when this event occurs, it will be aired on Al Jazeera." He stated firmly and twice that this channel (Al Jazeera) "is responsible for airing any tapes they receive."
The messenger identifying himself only as "Aby Osama" stated: we are working on editing and adding subtitles to the tapes using 'special techniques' and they will be sent to news agencies based on orders we receive." The messenger offered assurances that the last tapes contained enough evidence to link al Qaeda to the (compound) explosions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
