Heres my contribution for today. Yesterday a UFO was observed in norway, and it made the front page of the biggest newspaper named Dagbladet. The article is in Norwegian, but i`ll still link to it, so you can see how big they`Ve blown it up. There were many vitnesses and the police could confirm the sighting too. Theyre waiting for some ufologist to wake up so he can do an interview with them about what was really seen.

A disk shaped object. This is the first time in a very long while a UFO has been sigthed by mass public up here, AND made it to the news front page. This COULD mean something? They`Re watching us...

*plays x-files music*

anyway

www.dagbladet.no...

What are UFO`s doing around at this time? hmmm...

I'm hitting the "ignore" button for anyone who keeps posting one-liners - even after they have been warned.

I suggest others do the same. If enough of us ignore those posting one-liners, they might get the message.

Then again - if they were suspended or banned - they'd get the message too!

Mods?

Iran is years away from being able to fire a nuke, at least 5 years. I don't think the UFO post has anything to do with it. BTW it also show a fake ufo on the same page. We are an hour and 13 minutes into the 22nd here in ohio, and nothing yet. All that is going to happen is this. Irans President is going to say that he will not stop his nuclear program, then the UN will try to lay down sanction that Iran will not obey, and Low and Behold. We go to war with Iran. You wanted troops out of Iraq. well guess what? Alot will be, but they will not be coming home anytime soon.

Iran isn't the only area of concern....

N. Korea Threatens Preemptive Attack
AP) North Korea lashed out Tuesday at current U.S.-South Korean military drills, saying they nullified the armistice in the 1950-53 Korean War and warning that it may take retaliatory action.

Weather looks clear so far, let's hope it continues
I'm still going by my earlier post and say it's possible Iran is trying to get someone to attack them first.

Well from what i've seen, Isnt something going to happen that mimics the event on the night before August 22nd? So watch for the evening in Teheran, not morning or afternoon. If you wont hear Teheran say anything during the afternoon that has something to do with their answer about the deal and stay silent, they plan for an evening answer.

And please everyone, sarcasm about this date can be seductive, but just bear with us just for today.

Iran is going to respond with a written statement at 15:30 local time which would be in just over an hour.

Ynetnews

The head of the Iranian neogtions team Ali Larjani said that Iran would submit its reply in a letter to the incentives offer on its nuclear program at 15:30, and that it's reply would be given to the ambassadors of Russia, France, Britain, and Germany

Why give yourself a self declared deadline that is religiously charged?
What happened to the Fox News Crew abducted?
Why start military maneuvers designed to not end for a while?
Why would North Korea (axis of evil partner) Threaten War with the south?

Even though the world will not end today, It could be an interesting week.

I think the people posting one-liner derogatory remarks are not taking the time to read into this thread. Though this started in the Predictions forum, it has gone well beyond a prediction (thanks to Majic for recognizing this and moving it to current events.

What separates this date from the others are that there are current events, even acknowledged by the mainstream news as to what is going on in the world to support a wariness of this date. Previous gloom and doom dates have not seen this phenomenon.

So, the day is not over, but even if nothing big happens today the potential exists (as many examples of what is going on in the minds of the countries involved) that this is not a non-issue that needs to be watched over the near future, The Mid-east is in a very volatile state and threats have been publicly made, both veiled and direct.

I really don't think this situation should be taken so lightly. For those who do, spare us and let the discussion continue, even beyond today. Things will continue to develop. At the very least, we need to see what Iran's response is today. One way or the other it could signify the beginning of something.

I see all this criticism of Iran when it is doing nothing that countries like the United States, Britain and Israel havent already done themselves.

The United States has exempted itself from all international treaties and obligations. How many IAEA inspectors get to inspect the United States classified military bases? How many military exercises does the United States get to partake in? How many illegal nukes does Israel have? How many wars has the United States initiated?

Iran is coming under fire for unsupported hearsay that it's pursuing nuclear weapons and breaching its requirements under the NPT. But do we hear about the United States breach of the NPT with researching new nuclear weapons? Do we hear about the United States unilaterally walking away from the bilateral Anti-Balistic Missile Treaty? Why is it that the United States can walk away from ANY international commitment when it sees fit yet it believes it has the right to force any country to stick to theirs? Even when they have no proof there is a breach may I add.

The iranian ayatollah has released a statement today saying they will not step down or close their enrichment programs but will agree to some of the paqckage being offered, said it was going to be a complicated offer. Certainly sounds like this may be the mimic before the real thing... weird...

Anyone else notice they're leaving out the U.S. from the list of people who are getting a response? Perhaps it's a location thing.

Just seen on BBC World that they are making a song of some sort to go with their Nuclear Program to show that their Nuclear program is peacful.

I honestly cannot take the word of a man who is hellbent on destruction.

As far as the North Korea thing goes, apparently they think every excersise is a precurser to invasion and Nuclear War, except this time there is some added tension in the area.

That would be because the United States has no Embassy in Iran with which to deliver the letter, the other countries listed do.

Also Ahmadinejad is not hell bent on the destruction of the World. I cant believe people still lap up the pseudo-psychological babble presented by mainstream media hacks. Didnt the whole Iraq fiasco teach any lasting lessons? Such as the mainstream media is complicit in the lies being peddled by our politicians to achieve their pre-arranged goals.

Does the Samson Option, as mentioned in this thread already, mean the Israelis are hell bent on the destruction of the World too? The Samson Option, the name should give the gist away to those familiar with the Bible, is Israel's contingency plan should they ever be overun in any military confrontation. Their plan is to fire all 400 of their nuclear weapons into the Middle East, Europe and Russia. The idea being that if they cant have Israel then everyone on the planet deserves to die. They will launch at Russia because they know Russia will then launch all their nukes at the United States before they hit, then the United States will do the same. Hence nuclear armageddon because Israel was invaded. But thats OK isnt it.

Found an article.

Romanian Oil Rig in Iran Waters Occupied

BUCHAREST, Romania - A Romanian oil rig off the coast of Iran came under fire Tuesday from an Iranian military warship and was later occupied by Iranian troops, a company spokesman said.

The Iranians first fired into the air and then fired at the Orizont rig, said GSP spokesman Radu Petrescu. Half an hour later, troops from the ship boarded and occupied the rig and the company lost contact with the 26 crew members shortly afterward.

Petrescu said he had no information about any injuries or deaths. The Orizont rig has been moored near Kish island in the Persian Gulf since October 2005, he told the Associated Press.

Interesting development. Could this be Iran doing what it's wanted to do because it knows it's going to be attacked by the United States regardless?
