i have theorized that the others are doing something good...

of course, for them, the ends justify the means (and this is why they do bad things; because there will be a good end-result)...

i think that ben answers to this mysterious jacob guy...

whether he is on the island or off (or even alive) is yet to be seen...

I like how damn methodical the others are written. Nothing is done without reason or purpose.

these people are very smart...

i didn't get that impression...

but jack deserves to be written in a way as to not trust juliet (even though i can understand why he may trust her)...

Agreed. It's not that they're not revealing anything at a rapid pace but that it's so obvious they're dragging the show out.

i don't think so...

'lost' is supposed to be 3-4 seasons...

in my opinion, fans can become suspicious after season five begins to air...

yes, it is abc's show (its sad, but true), but i believe the writers are doing it their way (for now)...

I so knew Juliet was still on Ben's side! There's no way she would betray him, knowing Ben could send someone to get close enough to harm her sister. If there's any one rule on the island, it's that whenever Sayid gets a worried look, you know something is wrong.

I don't think Juliet knows about Sun, yet. If she did, the Others would have taken measures to kidnap her in the past. She may learn about her in the next episode.

By the way, would anyone happen to know the name of that song that was being played at the previews for the next episode? I've heard it everywhere, but just haven't hear anyone mention the name of it before.

ok, just watched episode 15, the one where the fence stops the monster, so I thought I was up to date. Then I read the above comment. So Julian's still on Bens side? Well, that kinda wrecked it for me . . .

New LOST podcast.

Just as an FYI, I recorded my audio while driving on the highway yesterday. So, my voice gets a little hot and isn't as crisp as usual.

niiice...

and you focussed more on theory

i didn't like that guy's theory you mentioned though (the writers have stated that its not all in someone's head and etc)...

i have my own thoughts about who is coming to the island:

sure, it is very possible that it is penelope and the guys who found the island (or so we think) in the season two finale...

or maybe its dharma (locke pushing 77 on the computer in the flame might have sent some reinforcements to the island)...

You know my wife reminded me about that after last weeks episode... I completely forgot about it. Am I correct that, since the season two finale, this has ot been mentioned again? If that's how they end seaon three... my remote may very well be going through my tv. I struggle to hold on to that bad boy quite a bit lately.

I'm not ready to call shenanigans yet (ie, jumping the shark) but I want some answers, dagnabbits!

Is it safe to assume that we have two [warring?] Dharma factions now? Obviously Juliette (and other others I assume) got to the island by the 'others friendly Dharma people' but is there also a Dharma faction that is an enemy of the others.

Hrmmm....how long has elapsed from the season two ending with Penelope? A month? Six weeks?

Just curious.

Because, if "what is coming" is Penelope and her shock troops, I figure that would sound about the right time frame for them to vector in on a location, put together the sortie, and other such details.

On the flip side, anyone else chew on my ideas doe D.O.C.?

If Claire was to die, how does that effect Desmond's "visions?" He keeps seeing Charlie die why trying to save or do something for Claire. What if she is no longer part of the equation?

if it is dharma that is coming to the island, i think they will not like what has occurred in the past years...

dharma will be pissed that ben's group is in charge and that the swan is destroyed and etc...

they will also be mad about the fact that there are survivors of a plane crash on the island...

i didn't listen to that part because you mentioned spoilers (was it anything big???)...

here's the rest of the season:

- episode 17: 'catch-22' - 4/18...
- episode 18: 'd.o.c.' - 4/25...
- episode 19: 'the brig' - 5/2...
- episode 20: 'the man behind the curtain' - 5/9...
- episode 21: 'greatest hits' - 5/16...
- episode 22 / 23 (two-hour season finale): 'through the looking glass' - 5/23...

i have a feeling 'catch-22' may be desmond-centric (based on the preview)...

'greatest hits' may be charlie-centric...

'through the looking glass' is supposed to be ben-centric (that was the plan)...

any ideas about the rest???

- episode 20: 'the man behind the curtain' - 5/9...

Wow! Anyone else think that this episode will show who the real leader of the others are?

Since the last few episodes, we learned that women can't give births on the island, but isn't this a contradiction to the history of the "hostiles"? If the hostiles were on the island before Dharma, and have been living there for almost 80 years (I'm placing the Adam and Eve skeletons into consideration), it would mean that they were able to reproduce.

that's why this episode was confusing to me...

i have a feeling that this problem is a recent thing...

in my opinion, it only started to occur in the past few years (that's why ben recruited juliet when he did)...

maybe the island is punishing the others because they are doing something evil???

No, I just talk about the trailer and speculate on what future episode titles might lead to.

I don't every report on "hard spoilers," meaning I don't look out information that I can confirm, nor would I talk about it, but I will speculate on "soft spoiler" info (such as episode titles, theories that seem likely, casting of new characters, etc).

D.O.C. ------ Death of Charlie? Death of Claire?

Greatest Hits ----- if one of the above is true, this one might be right, being Charlie-Centric.

So do I.

Yes, but the question should be why to fix it, it should be why it started to begin with. Personally, I think the island has a finite amount of people it can support, and it's gone over that limit. It now chooses who it will support and leaves behind who it doesn't want to support (it dropped Ben, picked up Locke after the crash). Thats why some people get cancer and new people seem to have super healing abilities.

Or, as I said above, there is a limit to it's power. Unfortunately, prior to crossing the thresh hold of that limit, they were not aware it existed.

I've been thinking more on the problem of women not able to have births on the island. I think that Juliet was recruited because she was able to get her sister pregnant, but I don't think it had to do with any of her science or research. What I believe is that she has the same kind of power as Walt, where she can make objects materialize. An example of this is when she wished her boss would be hit by a bus. Lo and behold, the next day he got hit by a bus.

Maybe she wanted her sister to get pregnant so badly that her power made it happen. There is a chance Ben might know this, which is why he recruited her, but Juliet has yet to figure it out about herself.

seems cool...

but, would the title be so blatant as to allow fans to decipher it???

i think the bus incident was just a testimony to how badly ben's group wanted juliet...

i think she was recruited because of her intelligence of fertility...

think about it...

during her interview, she was asked about a seemingly aged fetus that was actually very young...
