Well, its 8am ET and nothing is different. I guess it would start later on in the day!!! I hope it doesnt start at all

Damn these prophecies!!! So, if there's no huge bloodshed, the prophecies are wrong and so the Bibble code is not valid.
I cant wait to see just how good these prophecies can be.

Zero to none chance of it becoming real... If WW3 does come, we will notice it by ourselves.

Do we have to wait until like 11:59 pm at the international date line before we can celebrate yet another predictions that has not come true?

This is a very interesting point! I understand why the thread still exists for, "What will happen on 06/06/06?" because it asks a question. This is not the case in this title which makes a statement (albeit exclamatory). What has me curious at this point is how strongly the moderators here believe in their own Terms & Conditions. Interestingly enough, when I click on "Terms & Conditions" it brings me to the forums page. Thank goodness SkepticOverlord had a link for them. Okay, here we go:

I don't think the originator was attempting to knowingly spread false information, but I do think the originator did not know this to be true but was posting it anyway, making it misleading and inaccurate. There seems to be a lot of prophetic threads out there I'm sure this would apply to as well. I think we need to be more careful in what we're stating as fact.

That's a bit far fetched, dontcha think? I'd think that these forums (no I'm not a mod, just my .02) are here so people can discuss things that aren't fully explained or proven, just like these "bible codes"- It's a debatable topic, just like the bible itself.

Well...Bible codes dont prove anything, they predict anything. The title makes it sound like the date has been set and that he is 100% sure of it that WWIII will start on that day.

Why not change it to: WWIII may begin on August 3rd?

Well it's 8/3 and no WW3 yet. Maybe we should move it up a day, or a week? Maybe the aliens intervened!

Seriously I'm getting tired of all these false prophesies. There have been so many unfulfilled prophecies that by the time a real prophecy comes true, no one will believe it. Just like the boy who cried wolf.

well, Skynews did have a special yesterday where they discussed the various conflicts around the World. Our good friend in Iranian has again made a call for the destruction of Israel.

That was totally not the response I had anticipated. 10 points for surprise, I'll give that. A "fanning of the fire" looks very sketchy to me, causing me to wonder further about the purpose of ATS. As if the ads that litter each page trying to "start something" like a playground bully weren't enough, now we have an attempt to validate an unsubstantiated declaration by the originator. Are we REALLY here to deny ignorance? Or just make people get sparked by sensationalism? Are we here to find the truth or discourage it?

Jewish extremist have threaten to attack the temple mount before, nothing has come of it. One group threaten to crash a plane into the temple mount.

I read some bible code prophecy for yesterday that said something like:

8 Ab 2006 A fire like terror

In that day there will be a great shaking in the land of Israel.

That's sounds fairly accurate in regards to the 200+ rockets fired by Hezbollah into Israel.

Well, ive been reading through the theories surrounding today and reading the bible codes. im sorry to bust your bubble and wreck your thread but...

it does not mention anything about world war three

This may be a minor point, but in Revelation, does it not say that the Jewish holy temple will be rebuilt?

Well since the Muslim dome of the rock is sitting on top of it, it would require the destruction of the mosque to rebuild the temple.

If I am also not mistaken, it is part of the end times, rebuilt temple, antichrist, war with Russia...........................

On this page they state that

The "End Days" may well begin 3rd August 2006, with the destruction of Jerusalem.

Therefore, we can expect the destruction of Jerusalem today, but not necessarily WW3 like some have already stated (although I would'nt be surprised if this caused it).

Based on how it is late on August 3 already, I would think it likely that the only way Jerusalem is going to be brought to its feet today is through a nuke; possibly supplied by Iran (or China b/c the bible code is mentioning China in the same code).

Exodus 2006 has a code here mentioning a WW in 2006. It is likely that they intend this day to be the beginning of such a war.

That injured 14 and killed 1 person. How many died again in the September 11th attacks? I think we really need to keep perspective. Every life is important, but that one death is hardly cataclysmic. The tsunami that wiped out over 200,000 Indonesians...now THAT was a catastrophe.

To re-inforce my previous statement about the destruction of Jerusalem I actually decided to read the front page of Exodus 2006 : D (actually it's located in the the 'What Will Happen' link under 'Other Warnings').

Exodus 2006' front page states that

The Bible Codes provide a message "the 9th of Av is the day of the third" - this is the hebrew date that is infamous for being the date on which Jerusalem has twice been destroyed, once by the Babylonians and once by the Romans. It could be 2005 and it could be 2010 but I think it will most likely be 3rd August 2006 and the asteroid impact (see the wormwood code also) will be soon afterwards.

And about the destruction of the temple, well nvm I don't see much about that, but from what I understand, the whole point of the Exodus 2006 site is an exodus in 2006 (whoda thunk it) to Axum where people think the Ark is located and is where the "Lord's temple" will be established.
