We're missing quite a few of the older thinktankers.

I was very close to joining the ones who left to work on their own after I got "it is to humans..." because that's what, like the second-to-last question? I could have left ya'll stuck on it for at least another hour or so until someone else tried it. If I can get the last question, getting the prize at the end is a very tempting concept.

But what the hell, you know? I'm not as good with the researching when I don't know what the hell I'm researching, so I might as well give someone else the chance to win...

Actually, neither. I just got really distracted yesterday and decided to take a break. lol. You guys were doing great without me and I was running out of ideas.
Anyways, I will say this. For the last questions, I got '____|__|_______' after the question. Perhaps that means that the answer is three letters long, the first being 4 letters, the second being 2 letters, and the third being 7. lifeis_______ perhaps.

I'm thinking this whole game is a ploy to GET the final answer, not to GIVE it. If you're worthy, then you can give the final answer. Being that they don't know it, I figure the game is unfinishable =)

I have been saying that the winner will get the final answer all along.

"It is then the conduct of said member which dictates how much help he would receive from the rest" What do you mean?

I'm not sure, but I think he is speculating that if someone inputs the correct answer to this question, the game would then become locked for the rest of us. However, the person who answered correctly would then recieve another, probably very difficult question. This person would probably need the help of the community to solve the final puzzle, even though the community would theoretically have nothing to gain from helping the person. IE.. their input/conduct through would determine how willing the community is to help that person...

I doubt this is true, but it is fun to speculate.

The is the second time I remember a reference to "The Annals of Heechee"

What the hell is that, and what does it have to do with the present question??

Just curious.

Can anyone else verify this? TPTB may have given us another subtle clue.

perhaps the wording "...what then, do you say now" is a clue...

two time-frames. maybe something we should say in regards to "remembering" our answers

Don,t forget.

this is going across the world and other forums..

The difference is WE ALL have worked together to get the answer..Some day and night .. Insomnia rules ..

The reason why we were so far in front of the other forums is

BECAUSE WE CAN WORK AS A TEAM!!

where on other sites they huddled over their keyboards alone and lurking to steal our answers..

One members victory is OUR victory..

DUM DUMM DE DUM DUM.. Do I hear a band playing???

what do you mean by the " IS " part?

maybe you are already on the next question?

nope

it has to be some big overarching idea or something very small inside all of us ... that's my opinion

I agree with that, its got to be a three word phrase...where the size of the words is related to the spaces in the question

or its a single word where the "silabas" (sorry i don´t know this word in english but its the division of a word in sounds) size is related to the spaces in the question

It's Springer and Sceptic Overlord - the former admitted that there are only two people who know the answers.

could also be a date. For example, 1955-29-August (January and October are also 7 lettter months). Reaching I know but I figure if we all throw our crazy ideas out there it might trigger a right idea.

The copyright © 1954-2006 is also interesting.
