Salute Israel for their tactics

Israel has so far flown over 2000 sorties over Lebanon. Bombed countless targets and with 'only' civilian 300 deaths. My guess is that there are less civilian deaths considering that:
1- With militias you never really know who is a civilian and who is a militia man.
2- Lebanese and Hizbullah sources will always scramble the numbers around to suite them.

Hezbullah on the other hand is missile attacking Israel nearly exclusively on civilian targets.
Hizbullah attacks are friom residential areas which Israel tries not to bomb launchers in civilian location while absorbing attacks so that civilians will not be killed.

Hezbullah uses mostly Christian villages for cover.

This is the prime difference in the war tactics between a humane army and that of a terrorist force.

BTW - Hizbullah deaths are much higher as Hezbullah does not publicize their dead.

Hezbullah fighters managed to surprise Israel with Vietnam style tunnels and bunker complexes on the Israeli border packed with weapons, ammunition, rockets. Israel is currently pushing back attackers from infiltrating Israel.

Israel suffered 2 dead soldiers in these attacks 8 wounded and in missile attacks 2 Israeli Arab children from Nazereth aged 7 and 4 were killed.

I'm sure the family and friends of those 300 victims appreciate and salute the effectivness of those 2000 sorties.

I salute them.

I salute them for standing against against murderers.

I salute them for fighting on despite the hail of flak rained on them by their detractors.

I salute the Isrealis.

The fact is Hizbollah and Hamas are the guilty parties in provoking this past week's violence.

Isreal has retreated to the agreed upon 1967 boarders. They were attacked. They have the right to defend themselves; they have the right to bomb the positions that their enemies fire rockets from, even if those enemies deliberately hide amongst the innocent.

No one ever said fighting the good fight was easy or withou its own tragedies. I blame the enemy, and the enemy is radical islam.

It is obvious that for Israel civilian casualites on both sides is undesireable. For Hizbullah and their warmongering allies civilian casualties are an objective.

Hizbullah has been forcing Christian residents to stay in their villages to serve as human shields. Christian residents and Hizbullah militia exchanged gunfire in southern Lebanon today.

300 civilians dead.

Billions of dollars worth of civilian infrastructure destroyed.

Economicaly ruined country.

Exodus of foreign nationals.

500.000 displaced persons.

Yes, that is something to be proud about.

Israel lost 19 soldiers for 52 palestinians nearly all millitants...Month the World was shouting war crimes...In my view you should have bombed them 2 hours with artillery than the civilians would have left and the rest would have been easy...
Now too just use pyroclastic bombs and that's all...Why you sacrifice your soldiers for the scum of the Middle East...people who intentionally bomb civilian areas? Those "people" don't believe in our (western) set of values...they must be delt by their own ways...

Salute Israel my ample ass. The average Palestinian and the average Lebanonese have done nothing to deserve Israeli attacks. Polls even in Israel show that a good precentage of the Israelis consider their country the bully in the region. The number of Israeli dead vs the number Palestinian dead over the years highlight the lopsided nature of the conflict. The Israelis are only attacking now because the U.S. in just a country away to bail them out if things get real bad...helps we have a moron for president too.

Israel is under scrutiny of the world at all times. That is why they must be extra careful with whatever they do. My heart goes out to the soldiers, their family and the civilians who died on both sides.

Israel is now calling all residents of south Lebanon to head north of the litani river. I guess tomorrow will see intensive bombing of southern Lebanon.

Regardsing the IDF and IAFs capabilities. In this battle Israel has NOT 'taken off the gloves'.

WRONG! The Palestinians from Gaza which has been UNOCCUPIED crossed the border and attacked Israel, kidnapping a soldier. Palestinians danced in the streets listening to this. Israeli citizens sitting in the south equally do not deserve the daily bombardment from GAZA. So what is your point. This is a war. Hamas has been missile attacking Israeli towns and cities for months now with weapons that have no military value - its only valu is terror. Same is true for the north. Hezbullah had no reason to attack Israel and the Lebanese government has done nothing to stop Hezbullah as required by international law.

Numbers mean nothing it is intention and tactics that make the difference. Israel is well prepared for attacks from Arabs which is why their casualty levels are so low (the separation barrier helped alot too - to yourdisappointment). Arabs use their own civilian population as shields (which increases their own civilain casualty rate - and it serves their cause) and Arabs target civiilians as a strategy. That is the lopsided nature of the conflict and what makes Israel even more worthly of a salute.

Israel has managed fine without US military support for enough time (1948, 1956, 1967, 1973). Of course having the US as an Ally is great and therefore Israel does everything in order to keep it that way.

By the way, The US is VERY happy with the attack on Hizbullah. If Israel achieves its objective it will have an effect on the region as a whole and will reduce the threat Iran plays is the region. The US understands that you do not.

What is sure...the israelis are not guilty when they are attacked by terrorist that live free in another country...and only only live there... they have training camps,have representation in their parliament,and have pretty big marches through the cities with tens of thousand cheering them...
I know it's not fair...but that's the real life...
