Worst Ads Ever! (SkepticOverlord's Ad Hitlist)

From time to time, I am greeted by a large page eating ad. This is one of those times:



There is no way to close the ad. Clicking it will take you to their page.

I have the same problem...have to hit reload about 10 times before it changes ads.

And again I must refresh 4 times to clear this ad. Is there no way to zing this hateful thing?

There is an ad for that new ouija movie that seems to not let me click anything but the drop down menu on mobile

They are All Terrible IMO , but I do have an Idea . How about ATS Eliminates Ads Entirely , and Funds itself by Charging a Subscription Fee to Log On to this Site ? I do not know if that would be practical , but it just Might be Economically Feasible if the Subscription Fee was Substantial enough to Cover your Operating Expenses along with making a Modest Profit to . I would also Imagine Trolling would be Reduced to some exstent by those who are to Cheap enough to Pay for their Privilege to Post their Constant Verbal Diarrhea on such a Wonderful website . My Two Cents .

Judicial Watch is NOT a fake news site, however, you may not agree with their political leanings. Not agreeing with political leanings is not a reason to get rid of an ad or they would have blocked CNN, MSNBC and other MSM sites which have a great deal of fake news and spin.

So , I have Ad-Blocker..

Bu due to solidarity ( and a little of functions limitations pressure ) i disabled it for ATS

But , WTF.. While browsing, replying, Enjoying ATS.. i keep getting full page overlays.. Wich i have to click away ;(.

It feels like... Giving a finger.. and they are taking my hand !

On my PC, when I load the site, before I can navigate anywhere a don't text and drive ad takes up the entire screen and I have to wait to close it.

This is obnoxious. To me.

I'm coming here to report the Better Call Saul ad, for the prequel to Breaking Bad. Although the show looks cool and the ad is cool, it pops up in front of ATS on both the mobile and PC and ATS cannot be accessed for 5-10 seconds until one is able to close the pop-up, which leaves a simple, non-intrusive banner at the top of the page. On the mobile, this ad blocks access to the toolbar at the top of the page permanently, last time I checked, unless the user scrolls down.

This also seems to be the ONLY ad on ATS.

While the ads do serve a vital purpose by providing the necessary funds to keep ATS running, some ads are more tolerable than others, and some ads are simply too over the top to be tolerated.

Maybe ATS could publish the acronym game thread. It might become a best seller in the comedy section, use the money to help fund ATS, there's some real gems in there, very funny.

The ads for Better Call Saul keep popping up, blocking 1/4 of the page, and even auto running a video....annoying as eff!
I also got an ad today blocking THE ENTIRE PAGE

I am getting the same Better Call Saul ad over and over and over and it blocks the entire screen on my desktop. Even after you hit the X it scales down to 1/4 the size of the browser and you have to wait 8 seconds before an X appears to close the ad. Very, very, obnoxious.

It is not so much the ad that bothers me but the way it hijacks my entire computer screen and then does not allow me to close it out until 8 seconds later when it is at 1/4 size.

How are these ads able to hijack the entire viewable screen?

The Better Call Saul add, covers up the entire top menu, forcing you to watch it for a while before you can finally X it out.

No issues here on my S8 Plus.
