play.google-androide get very bad,
every third Page i open get frozen by their Advertisement

That's probably the same ad I mentioned before. It seems to not only affect iOS users but Android too. It wants/tries to redirect you to the AppStore, in your case Google Play Store. Something should really be done about this..

Hmmm... So, if I understand this correctly, it tries to open the Google Play store, but you are using an iPad ? That would make it crash, yeah...

This site is pretty unusable on iPad now due to constant App store advert diverts

I was considering on buying some add space on ATS. Never got an email back.

What seems to help is in the main iPad Settings menu, go to Restrictions, then select/switch off the App Store things. This works for me, no more redirects. When I turned the restrictions thing off again, to try, safari sent me to the store again. So for now this will have to do..

Do a Google search for it and you'll see that it's not just ATS though, and it has been going on for quite a while.

There is a lot of traffic on ATS. I'd pay for advertising if they'd at least respond to someone who wants advertising.

It's been a while, but the damned ad is Still there! Doesn't anyone care wether or not the mobile users get a useable site ?

TommyD, your posting in the wrong section it seems. People only care about the bad stuff when its outside the trash bin....


Mods, people like closure and transparency, otherwise it looks you are not doing anything. Working in the background only promotes good image that nothing bad is going on, it does not promote trust and this is a site for people who have founded trust issuse.

Seems that way.. But it's really frustrating. I'm sure that if this was on the front page or in another forum someone would solve this. But now nothing happens.

Just had a malware alert when viewing a thread. Thought someone (mods?) might like to know.

The clash of clans game add repeatedly takes me to the google store when I select a topic to view. I have yet to click the add...but was taken to play store automatic like six times in 5 minutes...

I don't mind seeing the add but being directed away from ats to the play store with no input from me is very annoying to say the least....if I want a game I'll go to the store myself thank you very much.

I don't know if others are getting this ...but I'd guess yes as it been happening the last several days.

A new thing for me here.. Upon loading the "Forums" page, I get noise. Dutch, and English video-ads start playing automatically without even hovering over the ads or anything. One is a Dutch ad, which is obviously just for Dutch users.. One of the others, that seems to keep coming back, is YouTube style thingy, "Best PLY videos" or something like that.
Was I wrong in thinking that autoplay-ads were against the "rules" ?

As the thread "Jeep/Dodge" ads got closed I was sent here to vent...almost 50 pages in

Sometimes when I'm checking in I only have minutes to check favorite threads, and when the stupid advertising battles me to chose what's on my screen, I have just closed the whole window and gone to the other sites I planned to visit in the 10 minutes I had allotted to screen time

I read a thread regarding the current Jeep 'roll over' ad.

In general I hate roll over ads they are worse than telemarketers. The Jeep ad is one of the worst I've seen on any site.

Please, please, please do something about the Jeep rollover ad. I don't think I have ever complained once about anything on this site but the ad is SO annoying I dread entering the site. Can we disable it somehow?
