can the : " I Make $686 every day " advertisement only appear in the Hoax thread ?

What's with this "The People vs George Lucas" background add? It turns the entire left and right hand sides of the screen white, which is extremely distracting and makes the site difficult to read and hard on the eyes since the middle of the screen is black in color. It''s not clickable so I can't add-block it and no matter how many times I refresh the page, it shows up every time.

For several weeks, an ad for some sort of dating service appears in the vertical ad space on the right of the "Recent Posts" screen.

Seeing how many photos in the popular "Post a Funny Pic" thread are removed for being too sexually suggestive, I am gobsmacked that this advertisement continues to be allowed.

A rather buxom and zaftig woman, in a mini-skirt and hip boots, with her pelvis and bosom thrust in an overtly provocative pose....

Hey I'm as opened minded as the next, but, yeah but, I was here to make a comment on this as well.

Are you guys seeing a "Blue cross, blue shield" ad at the top? Just wondering if it's random or targeted.

On a side note, are there any other ranks other than owners, site admin and Super Mods? Is there a "half ass" or "rookie mod"?

This Smallville ad takes up the whole top of the page. It's happend twice in the past couple of minutes along with a superman shield.

I already posted this in another thread, without realizing that maybe this was the thread I should have come to instead.

It's not an ad, but still...There's a survey that pops up and it's really annoying:

I think there were two threads about this survey, one was closed but the other one is here.

It only shows up for me on this site and it's extremely annoying. Is there anything that can be done about it? There is an option to opt-out but it doesn't always work and it's slowing down the site for me. It gets stuck on "Waiting for b.scorecardresearch.com..."

ETA: Virus scans come up clean.

I realise ads create an income but I reckon there is more money to be made by giving people the choice.

'Brian with Ads' or 'Brian without Ads'

People join up - ATS Membership because they see less Ads!

at least give people the choice.

I am not the only person in soce that hates ads.

Can you please do something about the Extra Ad? It had a pop up attached to it that floats out over the screen after the ad loads.


This stupid kid has been popping up for me for weeks now and I just started noticing it only does it when that ad is on the page.

The Extra Gum ad goes to this address.

Please get rid of the floating pop-up on the home page. It is an ad for TV Land with Fran Drescher's photo. I can't stand it.

These are getting really annoying. This one you cant even close and you have to refresh to get rid of it.

Still getting that one. Again no way to close it other than clicking on it or refreshing.

I'm now boycotting that show as if I'd watch that anyway.

Posted the above only to find out that now it pops up every time and refreshing won't make it go away either. It's a conspiracy I tell ya!!!!

yeah an ad that sits in the middle of the screen and that you can't get rid of is seriously annoying. I don't even watch tv and even if I did I wouldn't be watching that!

For what it's worth, I am not seeing it. I am not using an ad-blocker or anything like that (IE 9 browser) and the home page looks normal.
