Thanks , only because zike gave me the tip about turning off overlays.

Here is another example of lens glare , as it seems like two objects to the right of Discovery. These are only lens glare artifacts from the camera however.

Well if your having the same problem I had , zike told how to disable overlays on Windows Media player on page one of this thread.

To do that with Real Player is different , but basically the same .

For Real Player you have to go to Tools , Preferences , then Hardware , then the Video Quality Button and turn that to medium where overlays are disabled.

O.k. finally ...

Here truly is a piece of ice or something being dis-logged during a thruster firing. Just for future reference.

After looking at this closely it is strange in a way. It only appears from behind Canda Arm.

Here is the sequence.

Just after this sequence , multiple lights , some blinking appear.

As many as Five at a time.

I'll try and grab screen shots of these lights.

The first light appears at 5:15:12 on my Real player recording. Just from a cursory look the lights are in picture for over two minutes.

At this point at 5:15:18 on my counter another object ( Blinking ) appears followed by another next to it. Seen here...

At this point , actually about on second before this shot , a third Blinking light appears.

One second later there are Four blinking lights visible. Here in this screen shot only three are visible because one is blinked out at the time of the screen shot.

At this pint a new blinking light appears from behind Canada Arm light # 5.

Here a Sixth light appears from behind Canada Arm.

Now two more lights appear and number 7 is very interesting as it changes directions. It originally is moving away from Canada Arm and then after a few seconds it ends up near the side of the Shuttle with light # 8. At that time no thrusters have fired and that is not the cause of the errant movement of the light.

Here it is as it first appears from behind Canada Arm.

Here is Number 7 as it nears the right side of Discovery in the frame of the picture.

And then another light , the Ninth, appears behind Canada Arm.

At that point several other lights appear and begin moving out of the screen and the picture fades to black and the shot moves back over to the Houston Mission Control Room.

Yeah it is but I don't know how to capture the video. If you want to tell me how then go right ahead.

You need extra software to do it

TRY THIS ONE

I believe you will find some of these in NASA Archives. They already have all the Launch footage there

This one has a free demo version allows 2 minutes per clip only though

Funky. I guess in zero gee plastered ice just dislodges and floats away in the shape of what it was stuck to. It does look like an insect shape. Spooky.

I think at one point one of the astronauts thought that some ice was part of a thermal blanket. I can see why. The ice keeps the shape of the thing it was hugging.

Keep watching. If you catch any more interesting stuff, this inquiring mind wantsta know.

here is a shot of just the Shuttle docked to the ISS.

Hi don't know if i got something, i'm no expert, could easily be a lens flare or something but the light was in view for at least 10 seconds and seemed to be staying in centerview. I managed to get two screenshots.

What was intriguing, was that they soon after it appeared started to move the camera so it would face the cargo hold...

Thanks zike !

Thanks LHC!

Here is a migrating light in the background during the Spacewalk this morning.

This light was fairly dim at first but grew brighter.

And here in the fourth shot you can see the light just as it reappears from behind the Shuttle's Canada Arm.

and no way to check

They work, no problems with that.

Unfortunately, I could not see the launch, but I am seeing the NASA stream right now.
