As many of you know last years STS - 114 Mission yielded several pieces of good video of what can only be described as UFOs. This mission STS -121 could possibly yield more UFO video.

You can watch the Shuttle Launch Live here at NASA T.V.

www.nasa.gov...

Last year I watched Live on my trusty Dell and saw several of the UFO events Live as they happened, hopefully I'll get to see more on this mission this year.

If your interested in seeing UFOs on NASA T.V. , then I'd invite you to watch the mission live and help try to get screenshots of any UFO events that might show up.

( Last year I couldn't get a screen shot and still I'm not able to get one from NASA T.V. , but that doesn't mean some of you guy's can't )

Anyway, this is a heads up for any who might be interested , because if you don't watch LIVE then you can guarantee that NASA will NOT show any video of UFOs twice.

UPDATE: Well the launch today has been scrubbed due to Weather.

Discovery will attempt to launch again tomorrow at 3:26 pm.

Edit: So while we wait does anyone think they can get screen shots from the NASA T.V. Live feed ?

Any Idea's?

I can get both screenshots and video if I want to!
(fraps is your friend)
EDIT: Damn, fraps only work in games...
I'll need to find another program then.

Hi,

Been watching for about 2 hours now, it's quite interesting. I've never seen anything about launches before, so I'm watching closely.

I have no idea how to get screen shots, I know it's not possible using 'print screen'. I would think someone with view grabbing software would be able to help.

Hi
You dont need any program to take a screenshot from mediaplayer etc.

Print Screen will copy a screenshot of the entire screen to clipboard
Alt+printscreen makes a copy of the foremost window

To see image just paste in paint, or other image software.

zike,

Thanks, but the problem seems to be that this method does not work with NASA T.V. Live Feed. All you get , or that I've ever got, was a screenshot with just a Blanked out screen where the NASA Video should be seen.

Hi,
It works fine for me. Maybe you have some kind of overlay problem.
You could try this

Open Window Media Player
Then go to Tools | Options
In Options, select the Performance Tab
Click on the Advanced Button
Uncheck “Use Overlays’
Click Ok

zike,

Thanks !

That was exactly what the problem was. I owe you one!

I get the NASA channel on my Directv but I have no way to record it(don't ask).
Looks like it may be delayed again. If it wasn't then I couldn't see it for the cloud cover here. I am on the left coast but we usually can see it pretty well.
I understand there were concerns about the turkey vultures as well as the weather.
I did manage to catch the asteroid 2004xp14 last nite with my telescope.
I think the 5th is the next viable day.

According to Don Ecker, in a recent UFO mag column and last nite on
c2c, NASA began encrypting and delaying it's live feed of shuttle flights
after Don Ratsch's video of STS-148 got out there on news shows, etc.

MikeJamieson,

That's right.

After STS - 48 the NASA live feed was delayed.

Of course on the NASA T.V. Page NASA only admits to a one minute delay on its servers for Live Webcasts.

But even if there is a delay there were about ten apparent or questionable UFO events broadcast last year from the STS - 114 Shuttle mission.

Denied,

I'm excited too!

I really want to see NASA succeed and do well and launch tomorrow , as they just announced they will try despite Foam problems.

Plus , I really hope to see UFOs too! Especially now that zike helped me fix my screen capture problem.

All I have to say is lost_shaman is "Go!" for launch!

Good catch lost_shaman.
There was an article in the local paper the other day discussing their concerns about those vultures.
Now can ya find us some UFOs?
