I'm sick of this crap! Reverse-racism. One day it's all gonna change........

Not if that criminal Nagin has his way. He publically stated that New Orleans
is a 'chocolate' city and that he intends to help it stay that way. Guess that
means he's only going to take care of black people and he'll ignore the fact
that he's also the mayor of a city that has white people in it!

He did that a while back, and he apologized for it, flyersfan.

Then he said it again last week. It embarrasses me a whole lot too. I am white. I do my part in this city, and there is this little scheme to turn the place into Key West II.

*Edit - I obviously forget my punctuation when it comes to New Orleans.

I sincerely feel bad for the people of New Orleans. I have visited there, and enjoyed their city way back when.

But the voters made a major mistake when they re-elected Nagin. Just look at how the Police Dep't. reacted during Katrina. Resignations and suicides. This is a direct indictment of city leadership, i.e., Ray Nagin.

And to say that Jesse Jackson and others of his ilk didn't massage the election is pure naivete'. Let me just wager that if Nagin gets thrown out of NO, he'll have a job with JJ, mark my word.

The Police Department is under-manned, under-paid, and under-supported. That is the direct fault of Ray Nagin.

When the US gov't does not concede to Nagin's extortionist demands which are soon to follow, he will resort to calling it a racist situation. Just watch and see.

Thank you, we try!

Suicide is not to be penned on anyone but the person killing themselves in this event. I knew Sgt. Paul Accardo personally, and he would roll in his grave over your blame of Nagin for his death. He much would rather have died by his own fault, than by Nagin's. Accardo killed himself when he got home and found out his family wasn't there. Unbeknownst to him, they had been rescued. He never knew that his family was safe. I would ask you that if you do not know all the facts to not make such assumptions.

You know it! That is more than likely going to be the case!

It is also the fault of the people that don't support the police in the community. Nagin is not the sole controller of New Orleans, though he plays a very large part. Most of his underlings know they are in charge. Nagin is just a face to go with the name.

Extortion? What extortion is this? Asking for the National Guard is not extortion, Jsobecky, I can at least give him that bit of credit. I think the man is the biggest (well, second biggest) loony toon after our president. Nagin extort Bush?

Thats funny! You should have seen them on tv down here "rebuilding" homes. They even had the clip of Bush pointing out a nail to Nagin that wasn't nailed in completely and Bush reached over to nail it. It was a vomit fest. One criminal cannot extort another, well I guess they can, but in that case, fair is far.
