Thanks Twitchy, you saved me the task.
I was just thinking about this article and how it might fit into the latest developments in Lebanon.
If I were Hezbollah I would be investigating who's idea it was to capture the Israeli soldiers. It smells like a set up to me, personally. Hezbollah has gained nothing from this stunt.
BEIRUT (AFP) - Hassan Nasrallah, the head of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah, has warned that two Israeli soldiers captured by his fighters will only be returned through a prisoner swap.
The 2006 Israel-Lebanon crisis is a series of military actions in Lebanon and northern IsraelOn 12 July 2006, Hezbollah initiated their Operation True Promise; [7] Israel then responded with Operation Change of Direction (Initially titled Operation Just Reward, but modified after its first day).[8][9].
Hezbollah's military wing staged a cross-border attack on two Israeli Humvees. The attacks came two weeks after the beginning of the Gaza-focused Operation Summer Rains. Eight Israeli soldiers were killed and two were captured. In response, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a military offensive into Lebanon and destroyed infrastructures of the country [4]. In the following days, hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah increased to a point of both parties exchanging tough rhetoric and escalating into deadly military campaigns.

Don't you need to be Israeli to join the IDF and Mossad?
Mahmoud Rafeh, 59, a retired policeman from the Lebanese town of Hasbaya
Hussein Khattab, a Palestinian member of the spy ring, who is still at large
Hussein and Mahmoud just don't seem to fit the bill, as it were.

I guess there are no strange circumstances described above... Those people who responded don't see anything wrong with a whole family being arrested including two children...

....What in the world are you talking about? Members of Hezbollah themselves said they will trade the Israeli soldiers for prisoners.... They themselves proclaimed what they wanted to do with the Israeli soldiers...

You know, like a.....conspiracy theory?! You're nothing but a debunker who uses official sources. What good do you bring to a conspiracy board? Perhaps you should post on yahoo.news forum instead?

I use common sense....

Yes this is a conspiracy board, but one where some sort of "real evidence" should be provided,

We all know how you back regimes like those of Iran, China, etc, etc...so what good are you to the board?.... Perhaps you should go live in China or Iran and post from there?....

Good point, but as you can see there are people around here who would like to dismiss facts like the ones you just mentioned so they can keep blaming Israel....

Duh, they were basically contractors, not directly Mossad recruited and
trained within the iIsraeli borders. Every spy agency uses these types of pawns.
The discovery of the ring is being hailed as Lebanon’s most successful counter-espionage operation in years. It is also opportune for Hezbollah, which says that its military wing must keep its weapons to counter the threat of Israeli aggression.
Some of the group’s Lebanese opponents suspect that the discovery of the Israeli network is a Hezbollah fabrication.
Referring to the murder last year of the former Prime Minister of Lebanon, Walid Jumblatt, leader of Lebanon’s Druze and an outspoken critic of Hezbollah, told The Times: "We are expected to believe that this big spy ring was uncovered two weeks after the killing of the Majzoub brothers, yet Rafik Hariri died in February 2005 and we still don’t know who killed him."

Same deal with Osama Bin Laden and his working with the CIA.
