Weird Tank Sighting (not Alien, i hope!)

It is really a great shame that the price of thermal imaging equipment for the general public is so obsurd.

I am quite shure the reason for this is due to the fact of this technology being developed.

For example infared night vision was once so expensive it was simply not an option however now it come's as standard with all video cameras and even some mobile phone's.

This is bull#. If a tank even if invisible drove past you the diesel engine would with out a doubt nearly deafen you. And no one is aloud on land owned by the MoD except military personnel.

Also what size was this supposed tank then???

^Actually turbine powered tanks are supposedly very quiet. I remember reading something about how the Saddam's forces referred to the M1 Abrams as whispering death because it's turbine is relativity quiet.

Most modern tanks employ a variety of technologies to help reduce the thermal signature. I know the exhaust is cooled before exiting, and I remember seeing something about the USMCs AAV using a skirt around the tracks to reduce its heat signature.

I've walked my dogs on many occasions on Salisbury Plain, played golf in Bulford, watched the Fire Power display on the invite only days and quite often go jogging on Battlesbury Hill, Warminster whilst squaddies are playing their games of hide & seek behind hay bails.

On live ammo days there is a flag system in place to warn locals and walkers not to venture on the land and there are always lots of signs explaining this.

Heck, I've even walked right up to the "door mound" CCC in Corsham. But then....

I'm not saying that I believe this story, just stating some facts

I can confirm that - we were playing soldiers somewhere near Sandhurst when a rather attractive young lady on a horse rode straight through our position (fnarr, fnarr).

Quite often seen dog walkers trollling through exercise areas when we were practicing hiding / surrendering in Russian etc

I started to read the post and thought bull!! I have read on wanting to know at what point the guy would be sussed. What happens? ATS ban the guy and no one other than the Hallowed Mods know why.

Maybe they had info that he / she / it was telling porkies and ATS thinks we are not mature enough to understand the reasons why. Maybe, he was really onto something and ATS have been forced to shut him down while the authorities snuff him out. We don't know.

But the biggest thing of all for me is......why is this post allowed in the Aliens and UFO forum. The OP clearly was not describing a flying object identified or unidentified. The OP also indicated that the sighting was "not Alien, I hope" in his title. So the sighting doesn't seem to be Alien or an Unidentified Flying Object so why was it posted here and not in the Weaponry or the Military and Government Projects forums?

Oh oh...I feel a ban coming on for questioning ATS posting policy.

The engine is as loud as a helicopter or even maybe a plane engine this is after all what the turbine engine idea for the tank was taken from.

And i can say this the heat signature is gigantic on both the Abrams and challenger 2.

As viewed by me thru chally 2 thermal infact on the chally 2 you can pick up the flames shooting from the exhaust's with night vision when it changes gear looks awsome.

You can walk on and use a military range for anything you like when the red flag is not flying.

As for military land i think aslong as you do not cross any man made defences like barbed wire you are allowed.

This is only the British army policy not shure about other country's.

P.S Timber i used to be based up the hill in warminster on the Tanks some hellish road's around there for running muhahahaha.

Scientists one more step closer to realising invisible technology

A unique computer model designed by a mathematician at the University of Liverpool has shown that it is possible to make objects, such as aeroplanes and submarines, appear invisible at close range.

Interesting that this is described in a military context originating from the UK. Although this is only a computer model it would describe what Paul saw. The fact that the theory is endorsed by mathematical scientists lends credibility.

Funny you should mention that. On days when there's lots of those heavy contrails, (you know, the ones that are called chemtrails that last all day) Well, I've been paying attention to those and the trails just appear. I've noticed that the sky can appear clear one minute. The next thing I look up and these heavy trails are there and I never saw the plane that left them. It's been bugging me for a couple of years now and I've even wondered if the plains are so far up that I can't see them nor the trails until they start to drop.
Back to the guy's invisible tank story- I wonder if the cloaking was in his head and not on the object that passed him? I think it's more likely. If it's not a hoax.

Hi everyone,

This is my first proper post on here as ive only been a member for a few days. I read this thread with great interest though as i was located very near to this area with the British Army.

I recall a very strange experience that happend to me and a group of fellow soldiers out on exercise on the ranges in that area. I have spent the last two hours documenting most of this in Word (just checking my grammar is correct before my first proper post, lol) however being the dummy i am i didnt realise that it was 4000 Characters max.

As my story is so lengthy (4 pages in word) i dont know whether its best to post it on here in a sequence of posts or put it on a seperate web page and link to it.

I have sent a U2U to one of the "Super Moderators" for advice but have not yet had a reply, If anyone could advise me as to best way to post this (im not sure if i will get banned for posting several posts in sequence).

I have also read a few comments regarding this being posted in the wrong place and so, although it is related im not sure if i can post it here.

I knew that by posting something like my previous post would inevitably bring extra attention, i regretted posting that as soon as i hit the "Post" button.

Its really no major deal, its just an account of a few strange events, over a few days actually, where a few strange things happened.

I have tried to stress all the way through my accounts of it that i am not making any claims of invisible tanks or alien tankers, its really just an account of events that were very strange when all linked together.

I have re read all of my notes in an attempt to see if i can shorten them but really their is no way that i can without leaving details out.

I cant actually see me being allowed to post this much on here so its probably better to host externally, If i put up a single page and provide a link, is this allowed?

I only ask as i am aware how quickly the original poster got banned on this thread and value my membership here.

First impression, those flashes in your eyes, those sound like radiation flashes. Check out tshernobyl (typing?) videos and I remember astronauts saying that you see these in space when you close your eyes.
[Edit] Those injections could've been anti-radiation medicines if you were exposed to low levels of radiation. I dont know if they make them in injections or only pills.

Slight concern maybe, i am going to have a read up on this and see if it sounds familiar, i have to admit, pardon my ignorance but i have never heard of the term before..

Actually if you would be able to provide any links for recommended reading that would be great.

I'm not sure of the terminology but I do know that videos shot in radiated areas show white flashes because the radiation 'shoots' trought the film.
