I believe that the ets did have an accident on our planet, but I don't believe their intention is to destroy life on earth, what's the point of that? I doubt anyone here knows what the et's intentions are for making themselves known to earth in the first place. And why bother making us destroy each other if they can do it themselves?

An aside: UFO documentaries need to steer clear of recreating, fabricating or repurposing file footage to portray an incident. For example, using stock footage during the Battle of LA sequence in this trailer detracts from the impact of the audio and photographic evidence. Instead of focusing on the evidence, the viewer will question whether the evidence presented is a fabrication, or actual footage/audio/film, etc. It undermines the power of the evidence.

I must admit, I wasn't actually listening to the audio, so fixated I was on the visual footage as I had downloaded the audio before but the film stuff was totally 'new' (and incredible) to me. Til I read that it wasn't actually the real thing at all. Hmmmmmmph!

Just watched the movie in the original post and my thoughts are that it is very interesting. I'd like to beleive, but unfortunately I need more "hands on" proof. I know, I know, you may say things like where did the microchip come from, infra red vision, night vision, etc, all refering to the original technology sourced from the Roswell crash and reverse enginered, but I want to see a large public UFO incident that is recorded by the media and no one even the government can deny it it as too many witness would see....Wishful thinking eh?

Anyway, Im interested about the bit about using night vision on my cam-corder during the day.....might try it out 2moro and see if I see any UFO's, as I live near Melbourne airport I should see a few "Infra-red" UFO's buzzing the airliners dont you think?

And the theory that we were kicked off or threatened off the moon sort of goes with the large period of time that we havn't been there. But I have also heard of covert lunar programs continuing after the last civilian program and have heard stuff along the lines of the US already having bases on the dark side so no earth telescopes can see a possible US flag on the moon.

Anyone who think "rods" are UFOs cannot be taken seriously which is a shame because it mixes known misinformation with real UFO phenomena.

I believe in UFOs/aliens but cannot take people seriously when they are so desperate to believe themselves that they cant look at the evidence objectively.

I have heard of NASA refering to UFO's as bogees and then after that (at the end of the tape) we have a "Santa Clause" they called them eventually. Think about that though.. really think about it. Why would NASA call them "Santa Clause"? Doesn't Santa Clause bring presents? Of all the things they COULD code call a UFO and they use the name of some mythical guy that brings people presents. Could this be refering to the claim that we are working with these UFO's and they have given us gifts before... perhaps technology?

What if night vision did come from a crashed UFO. Or what if night vision was given to the government so they could actually see how many crafts they have in our atmosphere, so we could see how futile our attempts would be to try and attack them. I think ATS needs to start an official project and have anybody that can set up nightvision on their camera and POST if you find anything! I am. Come on mods what do you think?

I think thats a great idea, we should have a web-team project, im sure someone will find something, especially since everyone on ATS is pretty much from anywhere in the world, weve got the US and UK covered for sure, and theres alot of Australians here too. As well as a variety of people from other places.

Anyways, i was thinking. If some UFOs are alive, then would it make sense that theyre a completly different race of aliens than the greys and reptillians? a massive alien/creature, that can fly at very high speeds.

I saw the trailer and I don't get it.

The "rods" are for the most part flying upward, just as you'd expect an insect to do. And maybe an insect would be ever so slightly warmer (kinetics) than the air through which it travelled. Hence infrared-sensitive images would make them stand out.

But the other examples of UFOs are fairly credible.

Do we throw the baby out with the bathwater so to speak? Do we discard the preponderance of significant questions raised because of the "rods" phenomena?

This is a core question to me: if the objective is waking people up to things going on around them that they should become aware of, do we need to be super critical of the medium?

Does the presence of the easily dismissed/explained "rods" segment discredit everything else presented? If so, it opens up the question: is it disinfomation or is it an attempt to revitalize a topic that is fading from public discourse?

And of course, does any attempt to create discussion/controversey that has a commercial component get dismissed automatically?

I imagine the X-Files got a lot of people thinking 'outside the box.' But it was a commercial enterprise...
