I will also agree ZT. I hate what happened to you but that isn't the whole world. I wish you nothing but the best but to base a guess that almost all gay men are unfaithfal on your 3 or 4 experiences isn't going to cut it. I had my car robbed and my convertible top slashed by a black man and my best friend was robbed and stuck up at knife point by a black man. Does that make all black men criminals? I think not.

Kyo is Straight and Kyo is Pro-Gay Marriage!!

PS...about the 7 year itch...please chock me up to one who passed that mark cheat-free!

Gay marriage hey? I really dont know what to think any more.
Im not gay but I really have no problems with people being gay. Personaly I dont believe God made us to be like that but if someone wants to be gay its not my place to try to make them change. But yea, Im straight and I have no big problems with gay people.

But IMO if gay people wanna get married then let them. Its better then forcing it underground.

This country is supposed to be a seperation of church and state. I personally believe marriage is a title...let the church have the "title" of marriage" if they want it.

So basically in the eyes of the state all couples are a "civil union" man woman, man man, woman woman...

That is what the government will call it. And if you want to title your civil union as a marrige then that is up to you.

Personally, I also believe that anyone regardless of "being in love" should be able to apply for a civil union

If my best friend and I live together as roommates, I think that we should be able to have a civil union...we arent gay, nor in love. But we tackle life together...think of it as a govenment issued buddy system.

I can also see the problems with that but whatever...no system is perfect.

Maybe give everyone a fair treatment across the board. No more marriage, or unions in the eyes of the state and let the titles remain in the church.

This way, everyone is treated as equals.

I oppose a ban on gay marriage for a couple reasons..

1) To ban it, is a blatant form of discrimination against sexual orientation. All citizens deserve equality, not just the straight ones!

2) Allowing gay marriage sends a wake-up call to the 'religous-right' that this country is not exclusively theirs, nor will the general population tolerate their forced morality anymore.

Obviously it shouldn't be banned since inside of us all, we are souls/energy. No one should dictate to you, who or what you must love. If we are souls, then what mere mortals should decide this? Souls know, no gender.

I don't have any problems with gay marriage...

Why shouldn't they suffer like the rest of us?

(joking)....

Seriously though, no issue with it...it's amazing we even discuss a topic like this these days...

I'm against banning gay marriage for the following reasons:

Banning Gay marriage is as wrong as making a church go against their doctrine and marrying them.

Isn't the point of marriage to have recognition of tax benefits, or survivor benefits, or hospital privileges, etc.? To me that is the issues that require change.

I fail to see why a homosexual couple would want to be recognized by a institution such as a religion to say their relationship is acceptable.

It is simply compassion. The laws, and rules of institutions simply should be compassionate to lovers of all people.

Up here in Canada we have redefined the definition of marraige and legalized gay marraige completely...

I know a bunch of Gay people I went to school with some and even my parents are freinds with a gay couple they use to work with as well as a lesbian couple. Now they like the idea of getting married and are going to no problems here it has not destroyed our society and certainly has not effected the way I live my life.

I beleive that every human being no matter skin colour, beleifs, sexuality.....should have all the same rights and priveledges as the next in a free society. Everyone is entitled to freedom and liberty.

This issue is a perfect example of why religion and state must stay seperate whether people like it or not you can agree to disagree but I find those people who do not support are generally from religeos backrounds.

That's not really true seeing that I'm a born-catholic and a friend of mine who had only became a catholic for three years also support gay marriages. Then again, she's actually bisexual. As for me, I think that as long as the people involved love each other, they should be allowed to be together and get married. So what if they happened to be the same gender? Does it make their love cheaper, worthless, weaker? No, instead I think that the fact that they want to marry each other in front of God and Law makes them brave and their love strong. That they dare to love each other despite the fact that there are homophobic people that might want to hurt them.

Not that all homophobic people are evil and want to murder homosexual couples. Of course not. There are definitely no homosexual people dead because of the majority of them. It's just an accident that they die because they were beaten up of course.

Honestly I really don't care. What people do behind closed doors(as long as no one is abused, hurt or endangered) is none of my business.

But from an ego, intellectual and pragmatic point of view, the ally of your enemy is also your enemy. Gay rights groups are aligned with communist's, feminist's and a whole slew of other people that are bigoted towards me.
It makes no sense to reward or enable a group that clearly paints itself as your enemy by association and practice.

I don't have a problem with being gay i'm not gay but i have friends that are gay. And i don't think theres any thing wrong with gays getting married i find that if you truly love the person no matter what gender they are or what skin color they are then it shouldn't matter at all. If it makes you sick then just turn your head the other way and walk off.

Seriously, the sooner people stay out of other people’s relationships the better. Whether it is man and woman, woman and woman, man and man!

Who are we to judge others about the act of love? Love is a good thing, yet we throw people into the gutter for it and treat them like they go out murdering people or inciting people to do badly.

We are talking about consenting adults! Not children, who need to be guided, protected and nurtured.

There are gay children out there, in schools worried about being 'found out'
Yet what do we do?
We ignore that fact and pretend homosexuality is a choice, decided at some stage in a person’s life when we feel they did.
How do we know? We are straight! Ask a China man what it feels like to be a China man. You will get a different answer from all China men and an even more obscure picture painted by people who don't even live in China.

We still have stupid debates about homosexuals and the bad they will do to society.

What bad can they REALLY DO?...It seem the only bad that comes from it is those that preach hatred towards them.

Those that will generalise and throw up stereotypes and statistics, will only be too vocal in opposing inr anger at being lumped into a generalisation or stereotypical sub-set themselves.
Maybe we should have a say in all relationships and endorse arranged marriages, condemn or outcast those that don't fit into our own little ideal of how those relationships should be.

We expect others across the whole World to be like us and treat us with respect, yet we don't do it to others.

I'm not married and straight and I'm suffering..no it's not he mother -in-law so to be as such.....it was a dam mis-understanding.

maybe gay people have better relationships because they are the same sex. women know women, men know men. men don't understand women and the other way around. I want to be gay.

hmmppphh...

Maybe I'm just having a bad night.
