Are We Dead Yet?

Doomsdays tend to be much less eventful than the days leading up to them.

maybe totally unrelated but the BBC news section has fallen over & now the korea missle crisis is front page news on CNN

Im quite scared...even though i live in UK, this really sounds like something is going on

Would we know though if Star Wars managed to intercept this missle or even the apparent "shock & Awe" training in the pacific blew this missle to bits?!

Too many conflicting reports in the media for me to keep up the interest in this at the moment i'm afraid. Some are saying they have to launch withing 2 days of fuelling the missile, others say a month. Some say it will happen, lots say it may not.

I reckon, and this is just a prediction, that i'm in danger of wasting yet another day of my life sat here watching the news waiting for the big one to happen. Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but i know that at the end of today i will this time be able to look back on my day productively instead of moaning about the time i've wasted watching the news.

Of course i may pop in and out of ATS now and again to just check.

Have any US news agencies had blocks on them regarding this issue?
I have a close friend in the BBC News department here in the UK, he's told me both they and others have been given D-notice,by a section of Millitary Intelligence (MI5/6???), on anthing to do with the possible NK test issues.
Seems the world cup will be have all eyes on it, while the real bussiness takes place, as usual.

an update from NYC. Very warm today, hitting close to 95. Clear skies in the morning with a mushroom cloud called for the afternoon. Lots of fallout and chaos for the rush hour with a clearing sometime after 8.

i think if they already fueled their missile, it would make no sense, if they don't launch it... this could be also a sign of "weakness" or "fear" in the n. korean country and that's just why i think, that a launch in the next days is very likely to happen.

They could just be stirring up a fuss. On the BBC article they were saying North Korea dont like being out of the headlines, and could be getting jealous of all the attention Irans nuclear programme was getting

Hmm might not have been the BBC article, but it was one of the ones listed on this forum, i forget now.

I've been wondering what would happen if a nuke hit Yellowstone's volcano or
what would happen with a direct hit on the weakest point of the San Andreas fault.

It certainly wouldn't take much to upset the natural balance.
