Thanks to Zedd's help and a lot of time spent slowly going over css bit by bit I finally have my blog fixed!

i still need some help to any expert or person of skill willing. Im not that good at coding, but im even worse on trying to use this movabletype site. I cant figure out how to use anything. Im use to just making a site coding from scratch and such. a purely information page, maybe some interaction. I have no idea how to code or set up a blog though.

This question has been asked previously (maybe everyone was just laughing to hard to reply), but how do you post a picture in an entry?

And could one of the big guns turn off my email notification and acception of comments as well. Thank you!

NOTE TO BLOGGERS

If you write a blog and leave it unpublished...it STILL SHOWS on the main page of ATS.

Half the stuff I clicked on was not there. ANNOYING!

Yar, that does suck, I think I have one not published, Oblivion but I need to collect more crap for it lol.

Blogging is new to me, so mine will be slow moving for the time being while I learn the ropes.

Any ETA on a possible blogging handbook Zed?

You do too much as it is, but we can ask for one more little thing can't we?

Hrm... I usually write up my entries the day before and publish them in the morning.
This way I can have something ready everyday and have a sleep over before finalizing it.

um anybody want to help me out with this? still havent gotten a response from anyone lol

Hi, when I first started my blog I was able to change the templates and browse through them but now it seems when ive changed the template and click 'view site' it doesnt change. Any idea why?

Edit: Ive just gone onto it after an hour and its now changed.. do you have to wait a while or... ?

After you make a change to your blog, and then go to view the site, be sure to refresh the page. If you're using Internet Explorer, hit F5. Also make sure your saving and rebuilding.

if you go to my blog and find the entry, Yay, I got the calender to work, you will find a link that explains how to do it. Enjoy.

Thanks fingapointa! I actually placed the calender code in the Main Index template underneath the search module. Works like a charm!

Can anyone tell me how to get the banner on my blog from moving when browsing? On the main page, it's nicely centred but when I select an entry etc. it moves to the right a little.

O.K., I found the html for the banner and commented out the blog name appearing in the top left corner, like so;

However, all of other pages have the element I don't want, like archives, further reading, etc.etc, thusly;

I can't find the code to eliminate or comment that element!!!!! Help!!!!!

EDIT: A clue!!! The feature appears to be date oriented. I just posted a new blog entry and all pages that have this blog on them are missing the hated element.

I have a question.

My blog is displaying the posts for the last 7 days. Which wouldn't be a huge problem, if only I had made one. Now my post is sitting there all lonely.

I went to change it to show the last 10 entries, but it's already set up like that. It says (without the asterisk).

That exhauted my limited knowledge and now I think I need some help, please.
