By the Hoary Hosts Of Hoggoth Mycroft!

A fellow appreciator of the Master Of The Mystic Arts.

I have a friend in a far off place who reads the part of Dr Strange in certain issues, while his de facto reads several other parts, loudly, into the night, much to the chagrin of his neighbors.

I would not recommend trying it right where you are because of the impact of TIA/Homeland Security/Patriot Act.

Venom and Carnage totally kicked asses!!!
Spider man kinda suck next to 'em. And when they made the movie, why on earth would they pick green goblin before venom or carnage to fight Spidey????
Come on, that sucked!
Because they wanted spider man to look good. Anyone remember the first fight between Spiderman and Venom? If ya don't I will summarize, Venom handed the web slinger his @ss on a plate. They need to make one with Venom and Carnage, and I already know who should play Venom, Brock Lesner of the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). Ever seen the guy, he looks exactly like Eddie Brock from the comics. The only thing I worry about is that they will somehow mess up Venom and make him a wuss.

Yeah, you're dawm right about it! Lol.. But of course, if they make a movie, they'll have to find a way for Spiday to win over Venom, but I too wish that they don't make Venom a wuss, for a lack of better idea.

Colonel

Good call! Wow, I think that's like the first time I agree with you on somethin'. Doctor Doom was the best, or one of the best, vilain ever.

They would do it the same way as in the comic books, with sonic vibrations, that is the only way to take down Eddie Brock and the symbiot. The one thing that I never understood about that was if these ultra powerful ways can almost kill an alien wouldn't it split Parkers ears open in the process? They never really explained that that I am aware of.

PLEASE tell me I missed the post where someone mentioned the SilverSurfer!!! He has one of the most incredible stories of all the comic heroes I've read. The cartoon series, though short lived, was one of the most beautiful pieces of comic art made, in my opinion.

Yep Supes villains are all classics. (Not.)

This guy in the picture below is smarter than Supes...

Is this Mr.Mxyztplk? If so, he is one of my favorite supervillians, er, superpests, of all time.
Also did you know that when Clark Kent was in college he fell in love, and almost married a woman named Lori? She turned out to be a mermaid and it didn't work out, though.

As far as real super villians go, Carnage and Hobgoblin are two of the best, most evil villians I've seen!

Yes, Mr Mxyzptlk, but animated more for Saturday morning kiddies. There is a classic rendition of Mxyzptlk airbrushed in menacing fashion by a guy named Banshee, but I didn't link to it because ATS Banshee ('real life' Echelon, not to be confused with ATS echelon, who somehow manages to appear and be channeled in ATS Chat) or I would have needed to explain it away, and it was so heavily branded as his work, but it's worth seeing, I will find the link another time.

In my recent bout of Mxyzptlk research, I found out the names of his parents and his ladyfriend, and even saw some fan fiction where Mxyzptlk had appealed to the Supreme Court because one time his interdimensional transportation back to his own land of mischief happened when his name was spelled backwards KLTPZYXN rather than having an M on the end, and he sought to be transported back on this technicality.

If you were to look up Mxyzptlk under ATS Search, you would probably find I use the name to describe ATS's own interdimensional traveller and harbinger of scorn and mischief, regularly banned and assuming no less than 12 different identities during his career here.

I wasn't sure it was him because the only comics I've read with him in it are from 1944. The first comic with him in it that I read is one where Superman tricks him into saying the magic word "klptzyxm" which is indeed, "mxyztplk" backwards.

For those who don't know:
The first appearance of Mr.Mxyztplk was in the comic strip in the paper. He was in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, when she rejected him he caused a horrible accident which scarred her for life. Only one of her many admirers still loved her after that, and this fellow slugged Mxyztplk and knocked him back to his own dimension. The comic that I have with the first meeting between him and Superman is different, of course.
Where did you find the info on his parents and ladyfriend? I would like to check them out.

tall-green-girl-of-possible-mutant-extraction,

Here's the pic by "Muted Banshee" along with some Mxyzptlk info, I don't suggest posting the pic as it's so obviously protected by the artist:

"Because he enjoyed being a pain in the butt, he (Mxyzptlk) wasn't about to volunteer the information, so it fell on Superman to get the job done and send Mr. "M" back to his homeland of ZRFFF and to his parents TLNDSA (father), and FUZASTL (mother). The strange land was ruled by King BPRXZ."

Thanks. She's actually the Jade Lantern, a relative of the Green Lantern. She also shares my first (real) name, so I feel we share a bond.

I've always been a really big fan of Green Lantern. If not Green Lantern, then I invoke 1960's TV and say the Green Hornet and Kato (although they technically weren't superheroes).

Isn't she actually the original Green-lantern's daughter? Also I just saw an episode of "Duck Dodgers", where Daffy becomes a Green-Lantern

YES!! I was going to mention bat-myte but I didn't know if anyone was familiar with him! He was like the Scrappy-Doo of Batman.
