With the recent remake of Cabrini Green (the projects housing the Candyman), I'd think if he WAS there, then no more. Supposedly, it was based on a real urban legend, but even if so, it was probably more of a gang scare tactic than anything else....married with the Bloody Mary legend.

On a tangential note ... did you know Virginia Madsen was hypnotized to make scenes where the Candyman mesmerizes her more realistic?
