USA vs North Korea

US war expert have come to the conclusion that in a convential war with NK the USA would eventually come out with a total victory but only after around 1 million casualties and massive losses.

Doesnt look good does it!

More and more i think the only viable option against NK is a nuclear one, by that i mean small warheads taking out selected targets.
Conventional warhead could do this but i think to use small nuclear weapons would show NK that the USA is deadly serious.

What do you guys think?

1 million US casualties??? I would like to see a report of that. I can imagine that happening only if they launched a missle to the western portion of the US.

OR

Maybe 1 million casualties is correct if you include what NK would try doing to Japan and Seoul.

well last time we fought them, we lost 10's of thousands troops and their military is bigger and better now than it was then, they have about as many artillery and tanks as china and their troops would out number us by 500'000 and their troops are actually trained at a very high level.

Cant remember but I think it was Jeff Rense site..that NK would come out way ahead in a confrontation with the US...somewhere around a million casualties...also that NK outweighed the US totally in power..hard to believe???

NK has only said that it will strike at US pacific MILITARY BASES if US starts a build up of a forces for a war against NK.

That is a JUST FIRST STIKE!

US has no business in the whole pacific area.

I wasn't suggesting anything about the USA being nuked.

I was more inclined to the "the US would nuke NK way before having 1 million casualties in a conventional war".

That's what i was meaning. But still. People will die on both sides. The losses will be horrific. War is War. You can say all you want Fulcrum, swear at me or whatever. But the USA doesn't have more of a right than NK to have nuclear/chemical/biological weapons.

Double standards mean nothing to me. What's fair for one is fair for another.

But in war anything goes.

I think we should have a joint conference and political meetings with the UN to get the NKs to back off and cease their nuclear exploitation. If the UN backs the US and other nations like Japan, the option of disarming them gets more clout.

But there are. Countries get invaded. people war. People die.

There you have it.

If the US held this "laissez-faire" idea of yours then the the world wouldn't be what it is today, it would probably be part of the Nazi Regime or worse. The Jews and other groups would all be probably wiped out. Perhaps even the US would of fallen. The US has a responsibility to the human race, for being the most powerful country, to stop these types of atrocities to mankind. Read some Theodore Roosevelt.
