The first one is a set of Multiple Impact Reentry Vehicles from an ICBM. The second is a series of ICBMs launching IIRC.

proprog, one of your pictures has the F-word sprayed on the side, beware, the mods might be very unpleased, and very unpleased about your disrespectful behaviour.

But two can play that game...

Iraqi T-72's shot up by M1A1's and A2's...and there's thousands of those scattered all over Iraq...that says alot about the Abrams ANd the Challenger tank.

and now, American weaponry

Well there are 2 Peacekeeper's lauching and 4 Mirv's re-entering at the same time in that pic, I would think. They both look pretty similar so, its difficult to make out, anyway I took it from here where they mentioned it as re-entry
www.geocities.com...
These are launches:

Finally a thread where I can post picture of my favorite toys, now to be fair I have included the best good’s from all the services. One more thing, to proprog, the chopper in question is the AH-64D Apache Longbow not the AH-1 Cobra, and the USMC is the branch that operates the Cobra not the USAF. If you’re going to insult our forces at least get the systems right

M1A2 Abrams

Stryker

AH-64D Apache Longbow

F-16 Fighting Falcon

F-15 Eagle

F/A-18EF super Hornet

F-22A Raptor

B-52H, B-1B, B-2

Arleigh Burke Class

Sea Wolf Class

Virginia Class

And of course the single most important and best piece of our military is the Men and Women in uniform,
for our great all volunteer military.

Fearsome pics there keenkid.

Just a thought tho, who are the guys in the tenth picture down? they dont look like regular infantry.
Its a bit tricky to see but it looks like theyre armed with FN FALs /SLRs. Plus the helmets dont looks like the same, theyre more domed shaped, whereas your guys helmets are squarer and have the characteristic "ear guards" as it were. The camo also looks strange, more like what the german Bundesweher wear, as opposed to normal american DPM.

Any info on em?

A-10 Warthog ...It ain't pretty, but it gets the job done.

... and that's just the gun weaponry

Not to detract from any other A/C's capabilities but this brute truly lives up to it's name, Warthog/Thunderbolt. In my opinion, few mission specific aircraft meet or exceed their designated task as does the A-10.

Slow, Low, GiddyUp and Go.

Frankly I like the thread on several levels.

I am a fan of military equipment.
Ok, I might enjoy US equipment a little more, but anything really cool works for me.

I have to admit I have been see a few too many "Iranian Military Power threads.
I am all for nationalism and all, but it IS a little much.

I love the pic's and I REALLY love the idea of get harware pics from all countries-what a killer thread.

P.S. Being a mod, i have no option to vote you a way above, but if I could I would!

I thought this was the British version of the Apache.
AH-64D Apache Longbow

I could be wrong though.

Note to self..maybe i should start a thread with British weaponry? hmmmmmmmmmm

No its the AH-64D that the US Army uses, the UK uses the WAH-64 Apache, basically they look almost the same except that the UK version has a somewhat different electronic suite and that is uses Rolls Royce engines instead of GE engines.

US forces can't even handle poorly armed iraqi insurgents, let alone better-armed & trained masses of iranian forces.

If I remember correctly, people thought America couldnt defeat the Iraqi forces just prior to Desert Storm. Now the Iraqi insurgents are busy fighting American forces, but then Iraqi insurgents can't even handle heavily armed American forces which leads to the question why the American military in Iraq is not wiped out yet after 3 years in the desert, after all if you can kill the Abrams tank so easily you should be able to destroy America's military just like that. It also leads the topic about the Iranians, which could also be defeated conventionally which they would be force to fight guerilla warfare style. Seems to me thats the only way to fight the U.S. military which is to hide yourself among the population. Fish among the fishes. Of course we could defeat the insurgency by killing everybody but that would just lead to world condemnation.

Look at the picture (From the first page) of the B-2 as it sits on the tarmac, do you know how much black technology sits behind and in that. It's uncomprehensible..
