amazing how since the Prez has mentioned Iran wanting nukes and is such a dangerous place that all of this is appearing suddenly. I feel like I'm watching a rerun on TV again. Soon we will see tanks and statues coming down and of course..they will find an oxygen tank painted with words

If, and it's a big "IF", Iran bought those nukes from Ukraine, what tell us that they will use it for nuking other countries? How do we know if they don't wan't to dismantle the warheads to provide fuel for their nuclear reactors to provide energy to their population?

And never forget that the only country who ever nuked another country, two times, was the USA and no one else.

If they had Nukes, they would have hit Israel by now.

Plus, this has not made the mainstream news, so i don't believe this news.

In the US It's supose to keep people under control by giving them a daily meal of fear.

The warheads have individual yields of 200kt or more. The article said that their combined yield is 20mt.

Seriously they said it could have been sold to anyone, but they decide to explicitly point out Iran on pure speculation. Pakistan and India are the only others one in the region who have a known and tested nuclear arsenal. And since they got their only a few years after the end of the cold war, im going to say it is no doubt they were sold to both of them.

As far as instilling fear to bring Americans on lockdown, look I don't know where any of you live, but everytime these articles come up, we dont have troops stationed at our blocks and aerial patrols or curfews or any #. Life goes on daily. There is no lockdown, or anything like thayt that happens. Can we just calm down with the American police state thing. Im beginning to become offended.

Its working for a lot of people. I think here in NY they are more terrified when they see armed soldiers or cops checking through their bags. I also believe its intended to make more hatred towards the muslims. People are really hating them right now and I think they are getting the brunt of this. People really resent them when things like this happen. Look at the Immigration thing right now...we have millions of illegal immigrants of all nationalities and all I see are mexicans/latinos being spoken about negatively. People are so easily swayed.

I would ask is anyone aware of "nuclear" attack specific preparation taking place by troops in the area. Additionally, considering the huge amount of disinformation out there you can't rely on what is being said. Thus, focus on the actions rather than words. Example...Russia and China have both given huge amounts of support to Iran. What actions can anyone point to that at least honestly suggest Iran HAS NOT be given nuclear support. How did Pakistan get the bomb?..

Hi guys,

I agree that it is doubtful that Russia would leave such a deadly arsenal in the hands of the Ukranians; and if they did I very much doubt that the Ukrainian military would sell such a much needed commodity in the face of possible future aggression in that region. 250 warheads make for a great deterrant.

What if Russia had re-taken control of said warheads and it was they who sold/gave them to Iran?? This could be a covering of the Russians asses should the Iranians do the unthinkable. The last thing the Russians would want is to be held responsible for arming such a dangerous and politically unstable country such as Iran, especially if they've just nuked Isreal or the US!!

Another line of thought is that the dissemination of such sensational news would bolster Iran's position and would therefore make any aggressor think twice before attacking.

Just floating a couple of ideas on why this news is breaking at this present time.

Best Wishes

J

Former top official of Russia’s Defense Ministry Yevgeny Maslin quoted by Interfax news agency refuted the information regarding “lost” warheads. He called such reports “nonsense caused by the journalists’ hunt for a cheap sensation.” “All the nuclear ammunition that was in the Ukraine before the collapse of the USSR was removed to Russia.” The ministry directorate led by Maslin was in charge of nuclear ammunition safety during the period when it was passed from Ukraine to Russia. He said he had personally controlled the ammunition removal.

Canada sold them a nuclear reactor and the Dutch were stupid enough to educate Khan in matters of uranium enrichment and other nuclear issues without thinking too much of the risks.

Recent posturing by Iran (read confident-swagger) would lead me to believe that this story may be truth. Why would one develop all kinds of new weapons including a MIRV plaftform and yak at the "enemy"- unless...
Kinda-like having an elephant gun with no ammo - impressive club.
With ammo - meat shredder.
I'm pretty well convinced that Iranians will have an unhealthy glow really soon. America-Israel will squeeze the trigger. I don'r see any peaceful way to avoid conflict.
Could be a smokey Easter in the Mid-East.

The link below may explain where 40 of those nukes went. Of course that still would leave 210 unaccounted for that could possibly have been purchased by Iran. And, of course Russia would not allow itself to get blamed for such an insidious act so, why not finger the Ukraine?

After all, Russia's 'president' is the 'former' head of the KGB.
Or, is it that the current head of the KGB (in whatever form it may have morphed into), is acting as the current president of Russia? You see, I have a slight problem with the former head of the KGB for the USSR being the current president of Russia.

You don't even imagine how much military equipment is waiting unguarded, in old military bases from the former USSR republics, for someone to grab it(sometimes the only thing that separate you from the weapons is rusty barbed wire fence, which you can cut with a simple garden scissor.
I can tell that many weapons are not even locked in warehouses!! they're in plain sight of view and in open air
.

There is a big difference between a Gun and a Nuclear Weapon.
There is a big difference between your friend and the Leader of Iran.

If they have them, showing them off is their best option. The element of surprise doesn't work, when all of your missile silos, power stations, military bases, etc, are blown off of the map in one night. In fact, the leader of Iran himself runs a larger risk by not saying he has them since he would be their main target if war was declared. If he does say they have them [Like North Korea], then the United State's can't run the risk of rushing in their - if they do not know they have them, they can run the risk. Nobody would stand for a war where both parties have Nuclear Weapons

its not there best option if there trying to sucker you into a fight ...there trying to provoke us or israel into a first strike so they can claim selfdefence
and garner world sympathy after the fact.....

it's all about the destruction of israel for them ....there goal is israeli defeat why is that so hard for people to believe??

Because that's not their main aim. To destroy Israel is to destroy Judaism, which isn't their aim. Their aim is to regain control of the lands, however Nuclear Weapons, etc are not going to help them do that. Nor is a Policy of Self-Defence, where Nuclear Weapons are used. If they use them it'll justify a full scale invasion by the United Nation's, even if the U.S. or Israel attacks first.

Their first goal is to show the U.S. and Israel up, using Nuclear Weapons would allow them to flex their Islamic might. To show how they can beat the infidals, how Allah guided them to gaining these weapons, etc, etc. All that tripe that some members of the public love to lap up and the Iranian Media would cream over. By having them and never showing anyone, they help nobody but themselves get killed. All it takes is one bomb, one missile and the leader of Iran is dead. Nuclear Weapons would stop that attack from being launched if they knew they had them.
