A video of civilians who may have been killed by U.S. Marines in an Iraqi town in November showed residents describing a rampage by U.S. soldiers that left a trail of bullet-riddled bodies and destruction.
A copy of the video, given to Reuters by Iraq's Hammurabi Organization for Monitoring Human Rights and Democracy, showed corpses lined up at the Haditha morgue. The chief doctor at Haditha's hospital, Waleed al-Obaidi, said the victims had bullet wounds in the head and chest.
Most residents interviewed by Reuters in Haditha on Tuesday echoed accusations by residents in the video that U.S. Marines attacked houses after their patrol was hit by a roadside bomb.
On November 20, U.S. Marines spokesman Captain Jeffrey Pool issued a statement saying that, on the previous day, a roadside bomb had killed 15 civilians and a Marine. In a later gunbattle, U.S. and Iraqi troops had killed eight insurgents, he added.
U.S. military officials have since confirmed to Reuters that that version of the events of November 19 was wrong and that the 15 civilians were not killed by the blast but were shot dead.
Iraqi report on U.S. raid in village contradicts police official's version
He had contended each person was shot once in the head. The report noted multiple wounds. The U.S. had cited a firefight.
BAGHDAD - Iraqi police investigating the deaths of 11 people in the town of Ishaqi after a U.S. military raid last week reported that each of the bodies bore multiple wounds, according to a preliminary report reviewed by Knight Ridder News Service.
The report contradicted an Iraqi police commander's contention Sunday that each of the dead had been shot once in the head.
It was not possible to say from the portion of the report Knight Ridder was allowed to see whether other pages backed Iraqi police suspicions that U.S. troops executed the 11 or bolstered the U.S. position that they died during a firefight.
Try to see it my way,
Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on?
While you see it your way,
Run the risk of knowing that our love may soon be gone.
We can work it out,
We can work it out.
Think of what you're saying.
You can get it wrong and still you think that it's alright.
Think of what I'm saying,
We can work it out and get it straight, or say good night.
We can work it out,
We can work it out.
Life is very short, and there's no time
For fussing and fighting, my friend.
I have always thought that it's a crime,
So I will ask you once again.
Try to see it my way,
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong.
While you see it your way
There's a chance that we may fall apart before too long.
We can work it out,
We can work it out.
Life is very short, and there's no time
For fussing and fighting, my friend.
I have always thought that it's a crime,
So I will ask you once again.

I would like to dedicate a song to the two of you from my favorite British Import "The Beatles"
We can work it out and get it straight, or say good night.
"We heard a barrage of shooting for 20 minutes and then we heard bombs," said Thiya Hussein, who said his cousin was killed. "After the Americans left we went to the house and found 11 people lying in blood together in one room. Five of them were children. They were bound in plastic handcuffs and shot."
Another neighbor, Abbas Abid, said: "The house was damaged and the family was shot and lying in one room.
"Three cars were burned and four cows were shot also."
Near Ishaqi, at Duluiya, police accused U.S. troops of killing a 13-year-old boy and his parents in their home on Sunday, as well as five other people. The military said soldiers killed seven "terrorists" who attacked a patrol with grenades.
If you only Knew what REALLY is going on in Iraq.
This is only a very small ammount of information that gets through the dense US propaganda machine.
But ofcourse - lets belive the US army Propaganda Officers, which create a story according to their own side of the Reality.

And we are to assume that you do? I thought that you were in Slovania? When did you get to Iraq? Or are you in Afghanistan?
As opposed to your Al-Jazeerra all truth sources?
Again... as opposed to your one-sided sources?
Yes Souljah there is a campaign of misinformation going on. The US media does indeed downplay what is going on over there. Just like your one-sided sources blame absolutely everything on the Americans. If a person over there dies at the ripe old age of 100, your sources will come up with how the american soldiers tortured the old man or how the DU killed him, or some other such nonsence. And Souljah you will play it for all that you can in your little hate-filled world.
Apparently the World today is far more complicated then just Black and White - there are many shades of GREY if you did not notice. And as we debate about that and run in circles blaming each other sources, SOME people SOMEWHERE have yet again blinded all of us - and ofcourse made a ton of money by doing that!

So now are you saying that you accept that not everything evil in the world is done by the US or it's forces? WOW! I will mark this day into my calendar. Sorry for misspelling Slovenia, meant no disrespect.
Yes, there is more to what is going on in the world and especially in that part of the world. This we agree on. But let me ask you a question, do you not think that it maybe possible that the reason that all these "reports" from both sides are not actually helping those who are running things?
As in the old saying goes, divide and conquer, mayhap, what is going on here is what They want. by keeping each side at each other's throats, even here, we are serving their cause? By keeping us from actually looking into the "real" reasons behind this war?
By our continued arguments where both sides cannot / will not try to meet in the middle, we are blinding ourselves to everything else?
You at one point in time actually campaigned that ideal, but now, it is all just the Great Satan that is america that you espouse. How about going back and actually exploring what is behind all these misdirections that are thrown our way.

And can we discuss the issue instead of Souljah or where he comes from? Can't any of you respond to the poor guy's posts without insulting him?
Iraqis say U.S. troops massacred families
In a more recent incident, Iraqi police accused American troops of executing 11 people, including a 75-year-old woman and a 6-month-old infant, in the aftermath of a raid last Wednesday on a house about 60 miles north of Baghdad.
The villagers were killed after American troops herded them into a single room of the house, according to a police document obtained by Knight Ridder Newspapers. The soldiers also burned three vehicles and blew up the house, the document said.
