Does this mean they are going to ban people from wearing too much perfume/deodorent in public? I and many others are severly allergic to some of the ingredients. The truth is in there and it has been gramatically correct..Have no idea what is difficult about this post nor thread especially since it has been used legally world over for thousands of years and the WHOLE world is jumping on the bandwagon..This is coming FROM fear, not to save lives as 30 thousand children, not counting adults die of starvation. Something besides lung cancer is SO FAR behind this, you cannot imagine..
Do all the non-smokers get active in promoting birth control or is all the bile directed at smokers, and not rampant death dues to out of control populace? Makes me wonder, as I only had one child so that I could provide and cope.

AS for the greys... well, I don't buy it. The chances of an alien life form being able to breath our air are already very slim. IF there's greys kickin around (I'm not a big believer) then it stands to reason that they've modified themselves to deal with our air. If they can do that, they can make further modifications to deal with smoke. Allergies? Take a Sinutab.

Tabaco companies are HUGE. They suck up alot of money. Other big business and goverments are eyeballing that money and saying "Hey! If they've got it all, we get less.". Thus, deamonize smoking and you not only save money on healthcare, but you've got your wage-slaves spending more money on other things... like fast food, booze, and sex toys.

So looking for the most simple answer here is fairly easy. Chaulk it up to good old fashioned human greed.

Actually, I'm in BC and seeing something very odd happening. Smoking weed is now more socially acceptable than smoking cigarettes. This no doubt has to do with the fact that a large part of our local ecconomy depends on pot. It's our second largest agracultural export despite it not appearing on the books.

I agree, it is less of an issue in the states too..keeps cops working and they can confiscate any/all cars, money from the perps, but is gets less fines than a tobacco smoker?

hmmm now i remember reading long before all this no smoking stuff happened years an years ago that they were planning on banning smoking cause they needed people togo into space and be fit for it, were as if you smoke you are most likely unfit to go to space well a huge portion of the population would be...... so its allabout eventual space travel and the children who will be brainwashed into not smoking will go to space and work and spend $$$$$$$.

Just to throw a new line into this, already frayed, discussion; let me say that I think that I may have stumbled onto the real reason why "they" want us to stop smoking.

It all started when they introduced "child-proof" caps on medicine bottles, cleaning products and mouthwash. "They" discovered that such devices actually rendered the products unopenable by adults. Children, it seemed, had no trouble, whatsoever, in opening these products. Adults, on the other hand, could not open these items and had to go out to find a child for help!

That's when it hit "the powers that be". As long as there were cigarettes, the average adult in society would have access to fire. As long as "we" had "fire", the average citizen had a basic ability to make weapons against the "establishment". An example of this is the good old Molotov Cocktail.

Depriving a society of their firearms, while one of the NWO goals, seemed to be a difficult task. Of course, it was progressing nicely but it would take years -- decades -- but, in the meantime, they could eliminate one personal weapon from the arsenal of the masses -- fire.

They made "child-proof" cigarette lighters beginning with the venerable BIC lighter. Every time they produce a new "throw away" lighter, they seem to be harder and harder to use. I've even gotten blisters, not to mention exasperated, trying to use some of these lighters. Ultimately they want to take all access to fire away from us.

When was the last time you saw a bowl of matches, offered as a courtesy, in a restaurant? You never see books of matches anymore with advertising on them. For the most part, they have eliminated matches. Now it's lighters. By eliminating smoking, they take away one of the few reasons why anyone would even carry matches or a lighter.

We assume, as "they" tell us, that it is all for "health reasons" when the reality is that they want an unarmed citizenry == starting with the common ability to access fire.

I used to use an antique Zippo but the lid broke..I am going back to Zippo.
There have been RECORD apartment and house fires in this city..but NONE have been blamed on smoking so that cannot be blamed in this case..
Just this week, I picked up a medication and the tope was STUCK..I has to break the top off and find an older top..You have valid points here how some people have Little to be concerned with besides who smoke and who doesn't.
Don't you find that the whole planet jumping on board STINKS?
Only place we can go and be FREE smokers is in China..LOL

Good Going Sir, once again you stired the waters. I am here with a late comment but I just want to hang on to this thread and if I post less than two lines I will be "bashed".
Twice I have stopped smokeing. How absolutely "fabulous", for months no grounding, I lost all contact with physical reality. It was terrible. I became hyperactive without focus and as if my "engine" was out off fuel I would fall into a deadly fatigue. It was like I was running a daily marathon deprived of nutrition.
Today I smoke and for many years only cigs without addatives, more expensive but the "adds" make me sick.
A tiny comment on hybrids. Years ago I dated a guy who was a true anti-smoker and allien obsessed. He was very odd. Total lack of compassion for others pain. An extreme testosterone drive seeking only self gratification. A martial arts supreme expert. He would speake of "our" destined connection refering to alliens.
Perhaps he was a hybrid. I was always very tired in his presence. But he was so wise had a way with words. Hmmm

Here's a conspiracy of sorts on smoking- the more you tell people not to smoke, the more they do, thus more taxes for the goverment.

I think it's the pharmacutical industry. They want to turn smoking from an agriculture product (tobacco) to a pharmacutical product (gum, patch, etc). There are MANY people who have been addicted to the nicotine gum since it came out and they have been using it for years.

let's see, the rate of asthma in the kids has skyrocketed, by the way, this rise has occurred even while more and more parents have become smoke free. and well, all of a sudden we're all a bunch of obese fat pigs who eat way too much!!! people are starting to ask, what's going on. why does my kids have so much trouble breathing?? why is little timmy so fat, while I'm constantly trying to control his eating habits?

meanwhile, our "technology" has thrown it's poisons into our air, our water, and our food. ain't no doctor gonna tell a patient, or their parent that the child is being harmed by all this "technology", and I wouldn't wait around for the government to, look at their response to global warming. and well, look at our response to it. most will point to a vast assortment of reasons for the icecaps melting, but na...can't be my car!!! well, if you ask me, the anti-smoking heyday is just a justifiable mass panic caused by people just who are just unable or unwilling to accept the facts of life......our technology is bad for our health, causes cancer, may lead to death!! so they pick out their scapegoats be it smokers or mc donalds or whatever to go after. if the smokers were gone tommorrow, they would still have the same problems, and would be searching for a new scapegoat while they drove their car to work, and enjoyed all their other technoligical luxuries of modern day life.
