there's a Larry Niven novel called Protector where this guy is travelling through space to some destination with an "alien"(sort of...you have to read it). Anyway they accelerate at 2g halfway there and decelerate at 2g for the rest so that by the time they get there he is super strong. Just reminded me of this, its a good book you should check it out if ur into si-fi, Niven is a mathematician so he works it all out on paper first so that it's all plausable.

Another interesting idea is for someone to train at extremely high elevations where the oxygen content substantially lower. This would force your cadiovascular system to become much more efficient. When you returned to sea level where more oxygen is present, you will be processing more than the competition.

And victory is yours.

That actually does seem like it has some possibility to it. However, I think you might run into problems when you enter and exit your house. You'd be going from 1-G to 2-G at least a few times a day. Maybe that detail could get worked out later.

Consider that you would have at least a 10-hour shot while you wind down for bed, sleep, and get ready the next day. You would have about half of your day to do your gravitational workout. I would start more subtly. You don't start bench-pressing at 400 pounds. Try 1.05-G, so you just barely notice the 5% increase. Then maybe 6 months later you go to 1.10-G, etc. It would take 10 years at that rate, which may be too long. Maybe you could to 2% each month, so it would only take 4 years and two months.

Rule #1 in this scenario is don't crush yourself in your sleep with your own ribcage.

alright, I have decided I am going to start collecting money, to build this I will become the first super-human, and I will return all money lent to me, once I have become the world greatest sports player and full of endorsment deals. In fact ill double the amount you lent, aha ha.

But seriously, I still think this is a possiblity, think of those carnival rides, that could be your home for 2 months of solid staying, then a week of time to go out in public, etc. doing this for a year would be staggaring I think. geez, I could still have T.V. and Internet.. I wouldent miss that much.

and again.. I did not get my idea from that. but I am familiar with that show, and my idea isnt a fake atmosphere, and it dosent slow time down. Its using real physics.
