If we're really lucky, someone will find some "discrepancies" with the electronic ballots and that cheat can't be used by the dark side in 2004. Maybe some good can come out of this.

Yeah, you're right, Flinx. Americans are just #in stupid.

Anyone getting some screen shots of Fox News or CNN to see how they will change over time?

Always an interesting exercise...

I am truly saddened this night. I thought Bustamonte would pull through.

Colonel

While I feel the projections are dim for your preferred candidate, and I don't think the next California governor will make much difference to that State, why are you so prepared to call this, out of interest?

Is it on exit polls?

Or on 20% counted???

MSNBC already has declared him the winer and you know how the media is owned by the repugnants.

OK.

I am just really interested to see how predictive the early results are.

The margin on the Recall vote itself has already narrowed to less than 10% - it was much wider.

I know there would be expert analysts in place making the judgment calls for these media, and not fly-by-night commentators

but I wouldn't call it this early, unless there is a money-back guarantee already in place for Mr Schwarzenneger.

Watch this space for more on the voting machine scandal, this is make it or break it stuff for desperadoes pushing the Diebold agenda for 2004.

Well I think you should be happy that the californian election provides such mirth for the rest of the world.

All Arnie needs to do is get his script writers to write his speaches.

Truely from what I have been reading, all the candidates were crap. Bustamante was a minion of the Indian casinos, and Davis had shot his load long ago.

You have to ask yourself what is it that is screwed about Californaian politics that not one competent sincere candidate was nominated.

Colonel,
Do you have any proof that Arnold is a Nazi?
Other than his ethnic background.
Look who he was up against, a midget 50 cent, the 3 boobed wonder from total recall, and Mr.Rogers.

Colonel,

Step away from the immediate knee-jerk reaction to a possible Gropinator victory. First, there's only 20.5% of the vote counted. Second, some counties haven't posted any returns. If the trend in California has been the same as it has been in Oregon with vote-by-mail, the early returns are the absentees that arrived early and have already been counted. The people that decided long ago...

What we should really be looking for is the counties that come in near the last of the bunch to post. Those are the most susceptible to Florida-like conditions, which could possibly ensue. Thirdly, the early call is also an attempt by the Cabal to desensitize the public of a Gropinator victory. Your knee-jerk reaction is exactly what they want...despair. Stay vigilant...

I like kukla's approach to both statistics and supporting fellows in times of need.

BTW, I really would not be discounting the voting machine scandal that will emanate from this.

MA,

Glad to see the "mask" wore off..

The real burning question here is "How many Diebold techs were applying 'patches' to GEMS this week?"

Also..and this gets to my point about noting the order in which the counties post results..are the Diebold counties first or last..?

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but this truly the only place to trust..trust being the operative word..

This is just a thought...

Could the Recall event be a watershed event in election fraud..?

If so, wouldn't it make a great research project...?

and isn't all our data passing before our eyes....?

..any interest in an Emergency Recall Research Project?

Yep.

But I can't deal in FOI requests or direct correspondence with manufacturers or promoters of voting machines.

I would love to see what dross they send to concerned citizens that brook the subject directly with them.

I was approaching the research idea from a statistical POV with a complete data set of return reports. But the idea of an FOI request in this matter, is an interesting one. Hmm..this will take some thinking.

At 31% counted the margin for the actual Recall Vote has widened again to 12%... it doesn't take too much of a roll to do that, but I would say in total the spread could not come in any better for the incumbent than 53% YES and 47% NO on completion.

That's my call. Davis gone, Schwarzenneger in, and the most turbulent period of scandal in state election history to follow.
