Everyone, especially you ATSers, HAS to listen to Pedro the Lion, anything from the album Control will give you a good idea. Dave Bazan's lyrics are insane... I know he has a way mellow voice but LISTEN TO WHAT HE'S SAYING... amazing lyrics with a message. Headphones is another project Dave has done... different music same Dave... you will have a very hard time finding Headphones stuff.

Go ROYAL CROWN REVUE!!!

They Swing real hard. James Morrison is pretty damn good too, considering he plays just about every single isntrument to a virtusoistic level.

Of course, unless you own at least 3 Miles Davis CD's, chances are you don't know anything about music anyway...

Well I know a few bands that are lesser known.

Beangrowers
They are an Indie-Rock band from Malta.
There music's pretty good.

Follow the train
Honestly I don't know alot about them, I downloaded a few of their songs, there a Rock group, good music.

The Pillows
They're a J-Rock band.
They do the ending song for the anime FLCL (Foolie Coolie).

Noodles
They're a, well they have there own style of music I'm not quite sure what to call it, I guess maybe punk with hypo-pop mixed in.
Japanese band comprised of 3 japanese girls, started in the early nineties.
Really good band, great music.

Maneja Beto
They're a, well they call themselves a hip-hop band, don't know, hip-hop in Mexican sounds weird.
Based in Austin Texas.
Interesting style of music.

Well those are all the lesser known bands I listen to that I could think of right now.

Will have more tomorrow, have been on a music downloading spree.

Most of the stuff I listen to is Techno/Trance/Ambient.

Delerium - Much like Enigma, but IMO a bit better. Favorite song: Flowers Become Screens.

Juno Reactor - Most of you probably haven't heard of this band, but I guarantee you've heard their music. I mean, who hasn't watched Matrix 2/3? Favorite song: Fallen Angel.

Mystical Sun - Very good ambient/trance. Favorite song: Blue Magnetic Ocean. You can actually listen to this song on my website.

Shpongle - VERY imaginative music... and uhh, sometimes very weird. Favorite song: (and this is the weirdest one of all) Divine Moments of Truth.

And when I feel like some loud music:
Velvet Acid Christ - I was surprised to see this posted

I have a list of great bands so obscure that
they don't even play or record. I won't even
bother posting them because you wouldn't
know them because I am cooler than all of
you put together.

Obscure bands make me cool.

not as obscure as some of the band above, but common...
Ani Difranco

Alot have heard of her, but haven't actually heard her.
Sorry, i have to

coming of age during the plague
of reagan and bush
watching capitalism gun down democracy
it had this funny effect on me
i guess

i am cancer
i am HIV
and i'm down at the blue jesus
blue cross hospital
just lookin' up from my pillow
feeling blessed

and the mighty multinationals
have monopolized the oxygen
so it's as easy as breathing
for us all to participate

yes they're buying and selling
off shares of air
and you know it's all around you
but it's hard to point and say "there"
so you just sit on your hands
and quietly contemplate

your next bold move
the next thing you're gonna need to prove
to yourself

what a waste of thumbs that are opposable
to make machines that are disposable
and sell them to seagulls flying in circles
around one big right wing

yes, the left wing was broken long ago
by the slingshot of cointelpro
and now it's so hard to have faith in
anything

especially your next bold move
or the next thing you're gonna need to prove
to yourself

you want to track each trickle
back to its source
and then scream up the faucet
'til your face is hoarse
cuz you're surrounded by a world's worth
of things you just can't excuse

but you've got the hard cough of a chain smoker
and you're at the arctic circle playing strip poker
and it's getting colder and colder
everytime you lose

so go ahead
make your next bold move
tell us
what's the next thing you're gonna need to prove
to yourself

It's funny how everyone got all shook up over Eminem being a white rapper and making it, when Slug is a million times better, and has real messages in his rhymes.

Brother Ali is funny though, doesn't he claim that he's albino black? when I saw him he looked very white to me. Still has good Rhymes though.
