yes you read right the great b word... looks like a blizzard for places like boston delaware d.c. NYC.
any of you remember the presidents day storm of 2003???? yea this storm is looking eerily similar.
in case you forgot. that storm dropped a foot of snow from ohio all the way to the coast. delaware had reports of 30" and d.c. boston and ny had 12-20 inches of snow.... get t the grocery store fellas... the monster of 06 is on it's way...
comment on this thread so it stays on the main page.. i will keep you all updated

It's still too early to tell....

From accuweather:
Option 1 - light snow or flurries at the most

Option 2 - major winter storm for the major cities

What's likely?
Probably the first one

But you never know...
(long range, it looks like there may be a better chance of snow for the big cities next weekend)

As long as it hits the Northern Virginia area good I'll be happy, the sooner we get that last big snow the sooner spring will come, this freak warm period is getting old real quick.

Gimme' your prediction for Philly.

I too love weather stuff. If I had it to do all over, I would
not have done the Psychology thing .. I would have done
the meteorology thing.

How much for Philly and when???

We have hockey tickets!!

If the jetstreams connect then yes we will have a very nice "Blizzard of 2006" maybe even one bigger then the one of 1978 or 2003.
The big if is the jetstream and at this point it doesn't look likely that they will connect.

Hey, it's almost 90 in southern California, and we are burning with wildfires! Can we divert that snowstorm back here for the weekend? The winds are blowing up to 50 mph out here with 5% humidity.....

l0rds,
call up NOAA, sam champion ( i am originally from mid hudson NY so he was our news' weather guy), and Mr. G (if he's still alive) and tell them to get their act together.

Was watching both Sam Champion and G earlier and they said it's to early to call as did all the other forecasters. We'll know more in the AM

How's the outlook for New Haven County in Connecticut. I miss the big snowstorms so much. I remember when I was younger we had to tunnel out of my grandfathers house the snow was so deep.
