Totally agree with your last point El Duderino...

So, has anyone managed to OOBE with binaural beats?
I think i'll try it tonite, as soon as my IPod's battery is charged... trying a 30 minutes session, with the SBagen, the frequence is

focus-10-a

in the readme it's described as "Brain Awake, Body Asleep".

I'll keep you informed

Ok, i've tested that focus-10-a.

While listening to it i didn't manage to fall asleep, or maybe i listened to it too early and wasn't tired enough to sleep... i'll have to better test it tonite.

Sadly, no OOBE for me

My body felt more relaxed, tho.

Didn't have any side effects of any sort.

Thanks for the updates Sparhawk.

I'll be sure to keep checking back since I'm quite interested in whether binaural beats somehow induce brainwaves needed for AP, or if it is more of a placebo effect which allows you to concentrate on the beats.

Once again keep up the good work.

Inverencial Peace,
Akashic

Hypomonk, could you briefly explain us how to do it (my only problem is language barrier, and since the readme seems to me quite technical, i'd like to have a biref explanation with "normal" words
)?

There is a plethora of research/analysis on the subject. Start researching the human third eye (the Pineal Gland). This is a small mass of cells in the center of the brain, connected directly to the spinal cord, in which our brain frequencies are regulated by light and darkness.

It produces tryptophan (the fun stuff in turkey meat that makes you tired), as well as the disassociative hallucinogen, '___'. It has been theorized that this release of '___' during sleep is what causes us to dream.

Specifically, however, you want to research the brain frequencies (alpha, theta, etc.) and how they relate to various states of consciousness.

It would be nice if projection were as easy as closing your eyes and playing a CD.. however I highly doubt this is the case. Projection takes a lot of mental conditioning, and while binaural beats are a way to bypass the pineal gland and "program" your brain frequencies directly.. I don't think you're going to see "oh, wow!" results without a little more effort on your part.

I've been using two audio programs created by users of bwgen. One is called Abyss and the other is Boxed Nirvana II. Abyss just gets me very relaxed. It kind of sounds like I'm in the middle of a blizzard. The Boxed Nirvana II takes you through different synch steps. I got pretty far with it a couple times, but it never seemed to really click. I think I was just not in the proper environment or mindset for it. Do this day I still haven't had an OoBE. In fact, I took a little time away from it because I was starting to get frustrated. I think this is a good thing to do so you don't burn yourself out. I just wait for the day my body lets me out to play. Rhyming not intentional.

Akashic, you have been a great source of information and feedback on this subject. And I just wanted to thank you for it. I should thank the River Goddess too. Her thread encouraged me to try again.

If your using Itunes and converting a WAV file to that format make sure it doesn't mixdown the WAV to mono. I know some conversion programs or batch conversions sum to mono negating the effects of the binaural beat. Just a thought.

Can you provide links to these programs and are they shareware?

Sorry, they aren't software programs. They are audio files. I call them programs because they have certain parts and functions. Sorry for the confusion. If you want the files you can go HERE.

No worry about that, i'm using GoldWave, that allows me to control stereo channels and convert the .wav in .mp3 (i hope this doesn't cut off important frequencies...!!).

Anyway, i was thinking of joining the wave sequence to the exercises reported here www.abovetopsecret.com... and see what i can come up with.

I'll keep you updated

Sorry for not having updated with any news in these last days, but i only managed to perform an experiment tonite...

So, I used one of the audio files CyberianHusky spoke about, if i'm not mistaken it was Boxed Nirvana II...

This audio file is one hour long, and should put the listener in different mind states... it was pretty interesting to test, have to admit it.

First of all, i didn't have any side effects, but i'd rather test it a little more, before saying it's 100% safe (at least, for me...).

Secondly, i didn't manage to acheive a conscious OOBE, but still i went through very deep body relaxation, to the point that for some moments (minutes?) i wasn't able to feel my body. Unluckly, i didn't manage to keep my focus on the intention of leaving my body for the whole length of the recording, and noticed for several times my mind was wandering, so i'll have to keep practicing my concentration.

Anyway, the experiment was pretty interesting, and i'm going to repeat it as soon as i manage to.

I'll keep you updated

If any of you are interested in Binaural Beats try this one .

www.transparentcorp.com...

I have had a few goes , enough to buy the full software, I haven't OOBE'd on it yet , haven't been trying for that lately, but one episode I downloaded a track and put it onto my Ipod, it felt as if my whole body was vibrating or shaking, was a really cool experience.
The 'members' area has a few more tracks , some are ok but there hasn't been any good ones for a while now, plus the community are quite helpfull sometimes.
Give them a go.

It also helps if you invest in a decent set of heaphones ( if your going to listen through them) something with as wide a range of Hz as possible.

Did it work for you? What do you think about the "silver link/cord" theory?

The problem with using BB tech is that I think most people would fall asleep using it for OOBE.

Yes, you can induce OOBE with BB tech. I've done it.

However, I have had OOBE before and I've done plenty of previous mental meditative work etc. And I've been predisposed to finding it easy to enter into meditative states since I was a preschooler.

So while my answer is Yes, you can use BB tech to achieve an OOBE I am not sure how well acheiving it would be for people who have no previous history of control/practice in altered mental states. I am pretty sure that a large number of people would merely fall asleep.

Hemisync has some that works for this. I think that Transparent Corp does too - but I find their stuff somewhat jarring. I don't like Dr. Jeffrey Thompson's stuff, because the music is cre-e-e-e-p-y. If you don't fall asleep using the sleeping one you'll get to find out that it gets creepeier and creepier after the point you are supposed to have fallen asleep. However, if you put a couple of small scratches on his sleep cd at about the 30-45 minute mark it might jar you just partially awake, and you'll get a brief OOBE state.

dont pay for them just dload them got to jetcityorange, like i said they are free and easy to dload.you get high medium low of beta alpha theta and one of delta which is 2.5 hz which is deep dead sleep.i tried them last night on repeat and fell asleep deliberatly had a dream of a line of planes all red not flying just hovering with left and right written on the wings .they was dipping their wings until one hoverd into a tree and boom i woke up.was very real .the reason i dreamt of planes was because the beats sound like a plane.anyways up 2 you but i wouldnt pay for something thats so simple.
