I'd say you are looking at the wrong thing. You can't asses it by looking at what prophecies come 'true' and what don't. The bible code works by basically makingup prophecies and seeing if they can be found 'in the code'. Problem is, lots of stuff can come up in this supposed code. Usually the advocates for the bible code state that some prophecies are more 'strongly associated' than others, but still the basic problem is there. What you need to explain in order to show that the bible codes are worth looking at is:

1. why does it provide contradictory predictions
   
2. why do all large books have codes
   
3. how do you distinguish between regular codes in the bible codes and god-made ones
