CCP Official Claims Sino-Japanese War Possible by Year’s End
Yuan Hongbing: CCP’s turn towards fascism is the most urgent danger for humankind

High-resolution image (594 x 377 px, 300 dpi) Tang Chunfeng, the former commercial counselor for the Chinese Embassy in Japan, said in Hong Kong recently that a war could break out between China and Japan this year. The remark followed on the heels of Chinese General Zhu Chenghu’s speech on the use of nuclear weapons against the United States. Former Beijing University professor Yuan Hongbing said that Tang’s speech proves again that the CCP’s turn toward fascism presents the most urgent danger for humankind. The danger is no less than before World War II.

A Sino-Japanese war would inevitably end in a thermonuclear war between the United States and China, something China would never win...are they that stupid?

The most urgent danger for humankind is the current corrupt US government. At the moment, the US scores on all 14 charactaristics that define fascism. All you need now is martial law.

by Dr. Lawrence Britt
1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
4. Supremacy of the Military
5. Rampant Sexism
6. Controlled Mass Media
7. Obsession with National Security
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined
9. Corporate Power is Protected
10. Labor Power is Suppressed
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
14. Fraudulent Elections

Don't get me wrong, China is also very dangerous.

Maybe WW3 will start like this (just speculating):
US attacks Iran (Germany, France, China etc. have invested billions in the Iranian oil supply) -> China attacks Taiwan and Japan -> US attacks China -> Germany, France, China etc. attack US -> US attacks Central Europe. Israel will probably attack Palestine. Result = +50% of us dead & cashless slave society for the rest. Except of course the NWO who will live like kings.

This is funny because the NWO control all sides

What is it with you and China? This happens to be the 60th anniversary of the second world war, over 7,000,000 Chinese mostly civilians died during the Japan ese occupation of China, Japanese scientists performed germ warfare experiments, over 300,000 people were massacred in Nanking, pretty much every family in China tells stories to the next generation about what happened to them or their parents, the Chinese people have never forgotten what happened to them and will always guard ourselves against another such invasion.

As for the possibility of war against Japan that is horse sh1t. We are more likely to force the issue with Taiwan then we are to engage Japan in hostilities again, the past is past and China is more interested and strengthening our economy and catching up to the West's high standard of living then in military ventures. Taiwan will be/should be resolved peacefully just like Hong-Kong.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

I don't know, this could go either way.
It could be that China see's the US busy in Iraq, Afganistan and then Iran.
We over extended-militarly.
That would be their time to act.
I could see China taking Taiwan by force and or protecting Iran/attacking our troops there. Remember China has something like 10-20 BILLION $'s in contrats with Iran for oil and other energy sources. They will not like there oil being cu off any more than the US did.

More like $200 billion.
www.atimes.com...

India, Germany and Russia are also signing contracts. I hope the US will not start WW3 for oil.

Again, not according to the Epoch Times article.
The article, when read, indicates that it is China who is the greatest threat to the world---aka: humanity--- and to the US.

Furthermore, this mention by Dr. Lawrence Britt can very easily fit China into that criteria.

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
4. Supremacy of the Military
5. Rampant Sexism
6. Controlled Mass Media
7. Obsession with National Security
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined
9. Corporate Power is Protected
10. Labor Power is Suppressed
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
14. Fraudulent Elections

And be assured, that China has instituted martial law already, on a number of times.
Example:
Martial law declared as unrest deepens in rural China

As for another China and Japanese encounter, what is the record historically between these two when it comes to war and conflict encounters: Japan 2 China 0? Just wondering.

Once again, another thread descends into a "US Vs China Thread". Stop fantasising about a war between the two, The US is over-streched as it is, and China is busy building up its economy to risk it all with a war. And taiwan will not boil over anytime soon. China has learned from the whole Hong Kong thing that sustained diplomatic pressure gets them what they want. And I am certain that china will employ the same tactics for taiwan. And lets not forget, China does not want to risk losing the 2008 olympics. So the chances of WW3 breaking out for the forseeable future...unlikely. And if there is WW3, China will probably sit it out.

This is an absurd Idea.

China is already beating Japan. No reason to start a military war against Japan.

The South Koreans have turned toward China for both manufacturing and an economic market to sell their goods. Korean products manufactured by the Chinese are #1 in the market beating the Japanese products. China holds all the purse strings at the moment. They want more "westernized" business to conduct business in China due to the market impact and strenght that it will earn the Chinese economy. They could care less about what Japan is doing. Japan is fighting with Korea (which hates them) about some island that is off the coast of Korea. You would probably see China wedging its might against Japan in support of Korea. If Japan pushes the subject you will see the bond between Korea and China get very strong. It is quite possible that they will begin the process to alienate Japan from the Asian Pact in order to force Japan to relinquish their claim of the Korean property. As China builds this coalition of Asian countries against Japan. It will become very apparent that Taiwan should find an easy solution to their questions about national identity and if China plays it right will use this to their advantage in enforcing the alienation of Japan. Give certain economic rights to Taiwan, while Taiwan returns to the primary control of China in return for honoring the pact against Japan.

This would make China a very powerful advesary. Again China's biggest threat is not in military action but in economic power and the ability to alter all of the worlds tangible goods market.

No gain in blowing stuff up, when you can use the resources to make more money.

Are you that dense to think anybody can win?

Maybe you should start a thermonuclear war to see if ONLY China loses. Enjoy the barbecued skin...

I don't think you understand China's nuclear arsenal. It consists of around 100 nuclear warheads, most of which need to be delivered by BOMBERS.

That means the US would be facing, say, 30 or so from ICBMs.

Now, in this hypothetical situation, what would they target? Do they attack major cities with all of those weapons? Or do they try and take out our military targets?

My guess is they would opt for military target (such as our own ICBMs).

So while the US would most likely suffer a lot of casualties, China would be completely obliterated. It would be a US win, but of course the US would take it's share of casualties.

American Mad Man: I think he's saying it's not about how many bombs get dropped where, but in the case of any thermonuclear war would cause massive destruction of our environment. In the end no one wins.

You can't give hugs with nuclear arms!! [/corniness]

What Goering said is generally true, in fact Bush is doing the same thing in YOUR country as I see it.

As for ICBM's lemme check sinodefence.com some 3000 nuclear warheads, most land based, 98 at year 2000 is the estimated number of ICBMs. More then enough to cause major damage to the US, but y'know MAD tv... eh.

"Japan 2 China 0" Okay wise guy lets look at the history.

In the late 1580's when the Taiko Hideyoshi invaded Korea (a vassal state to China) he got pushed back because the Chinese had the first iron clads, they were essentially Turtleships, ships that resembled turtles and armoured with Iron and sunk alot of Japanese ships carrying troops and supplies.

Though will admit that Japan fended off two previous invasions or just one technically Kublai Khan only got one army across and the second one was sunk at sae by the Divine Wind.

However you could say that the Chinese Unified Front during WWII was also a victory for China against Japan, so lemme see, including the Sino-Japanese War

China 2 and Japan 2. It's a tie. Get your facts straight wise guy. And please leave keep Nuclear Arms out of the discussion no one can win a nuclear war even if the other guy has none you still can't win in the long term.

Epochtimes is not a credible news source as far as most of us here knows. even if a factual news is being presented, it is laced with anti-chinese propaganda.

Lets not turn these into another china vs us thread, we have enough of those.

btw, i have been in arguments about how nuclear war would completely obliterate any country except the US. My conclusion is that it is really hard to argue with anyone who is completely convinced of their own invincibility and superiority.

With all this talk of China vs ______ I have yet to see anyone bring up the possibilities of biological warfare. With a country that populated, and war being as evil as it is, its always a possbility and China having the population it does, could suffer spreading of epidemics like wildfire.
