I learned an important humbing lesson here.. Investigate, wait for results, and then question..
I sent Jessica a u2u of apology and I'll be humbly sitting in the corner with my dunce hat on if you need me.
K thx... bye.

After looking at those latest pictures, which were much better than the previous ones, I will agree, that it isn't an electronic component. It looks to me IMHO that it is a metal fragment. On one side there are grooves and the bottom side is flat, but not perfectly flat. In fact it looks like a piece of rolled metal that was sheared.
Rolled metal is a process that metal is formed in long segments with wheels forming grooves from a flat piece of metal. Flat rolled metal can be shaped into right angle corners and even shaped round to make pipe. This looks like it came from a very thin flat bar with grooves. I've seen aluminum formed this way and then gold anodize added to make it a brass color.
Once the long bars are made, they can be cut easily with a shear. This is a cheaper way of cutting metal than with a saw blade. But when metal is sheared some deformation occurs, which shows up on the bottom of the piece as a slight rounding near the edge where the cut was made on the shorter side of the fragment.
Another tell tale sign is the slight crack near the middle of the chip on the bottom side. It is parallel to the edge cut with a shear.
If I am correct and it is a small fragment of rolled metal cut off with a shear and could be a crude piece of scrap from a metal manufacturing process. One thing you can look for that I can't see in the photo, is a different color metal on the cross section. This will tell you if it is plated metal.
One test I would try after taking micro photos would be to try to file one end. This will be difficult being such a small piece, but you can buy jeweler’s files for working with small pieces of metal. I would bet that you will find it is plated metal. Just a hunch.
This is just another guess, and I have no explanation how it could have gotten into her body. It also doesn't explain a reoccurrence of the same fragment.
Did she say that she found more than one at a time? Or is it always only one piece at a time that comes out?

Okay this is a lot of info (good analysis might I add) and it's late. So I'll try my best to keep up with you here. I agree with you on all of this. It all makes sense and yes I did see that strange looking wall at the end of the piece that looks like it was cut with metal shears or punched out of a machine or something. That will be determined in a lab with Gevaerd's contact. I know I sure didn't cut it. Okay, I tried the magnet thing and there was 0 attraction. I can even make a small movie of it to show you. Don't know how I would show that online, but if anyone has any suggestions let me know and I can do it.
And yes, she has told me that she has had spells of extracting these. For instance she explained that one time she extracted one on one day, then in the next couple days coughed a couple more (something to that effect), then didn't expell another for a couple of years or so. Her sister the same.
I can file this baby right now if no one objects??

Happy happy, joy joy. I don't have anything concrete to add to this thread but the utter gratitude I feel towards Need Help for yet again sharing this experience with us. Gracias! Or whatever language you speak over there.

The only thing I can fathom here is the food supply. Is there a metal shop/factory near where she lives? Is there a type of food supply near this factory? (Agriculture, ect)
I mean, she could be eating food that is contaminated with scrap metal? Then again, if I was chowing down on some food, I'm sure I'd notice a small (but big) chunk of metal in my mouth. I seriously doubt her teeth could/would avoid such an object repeatedly though.. I've chipped teeth on tiny bones in meat products.. a piece of metal would be hard to miss..
Just tossing out ideas..
I say file it, gently and if you notice any discoloration (silver instead of gold) then stop of course.. if you don't, dont file it too much..
Also, have you attempted to look at this object with a microscope? The use of a microscope would tell you right away if it's a microchip or not. Most chips have microscopic leads (tiny lines where electricity travel), and are quite distinguishable.
It could be Diet Coke? It could be the water?
In about five years, though, microchips might replace injections as the preferred method of delivering the biological drugs (usually proteins) used to treat hepatitis C and many forms of cancer. They may also be used to deliver hormones, pain medications, and insulin.
Today, researchers are in the early stages of putting medicine on chips—and the implications are weighty. For example, MicroChips, a start-up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is building a chip with tiny channels etched on the back, each of which contains a minute amount of a drug. The channels are sealed with a fine layer of gold. When hit with a small electric charge, the gold dissolves, releasing the drug. The chip would be implanted under the skin or, for gastrointestinal ailments, swallowed.
"It's very much like a traditional chip," explains MicroChips president Dr. John T. Santini, Jr. "Our current devices are made out of silicon and have circuitry."
Microelectronic device packages are typically made of an insulating material such as aluminum oxide or silicon nitride.
We've developed a microchip that has the ability to store a large number of drugs or chemicals, control the time at which release begins, and control the rate at which the chemicals are released, all without moving parts. The microchip could be integrated with a tiny power supply and controlled by a microprocessor, remote control, or biosensors. This microchip technology has potential uses in areas such as medical diagnostics, chemical detection, combinatorial chemistry, drug delivery, cosmetics, and entertainment.

You are one of the many people "they" are trying to study. Why are they trying to study us though? Are they planning an invasion? Orwill they just try to adapt to our lifestyle and come in peace? Ahhh anywho.... great thread, I beleive you all the way and cant wait for the next updates on it.

And that's a prototype.. so I'm sure if it works, it could be better manufactured at a nano-scale
Also, if you note, this isnt in an integrated circuit form, it's all laid out on one platform.. All they would have to do is put some layers (intergration) ontop of eachother instead of laying it all out to make it much smaller..
