With patriots, even with the pac-3 you cant still shoot down even a scud.. And your fancy anti missile defence system is to be based in US, doesnt help much your bases in middle east..

And despite the sun, Arabs are very intelligent and their lands were once one of the highest points of civilization until the west experianced a vast growth with far surpasses anything the Middle east could do.

Because the potential of the people can only grow when they have their own freedom and can personally benefit from such effort. If I were working for Saddam Hussein, I doubt very much I could make myself invent a good excuse not to blow his brains out..much less something that would bring about an industrial revolution. This "we will conquer the world and wipe out all that aren't muslem" crap is counter-productive to mankind. It is being delt with.

dude are you serious, what are they going to launch scuds at their own country? they would still get messed up because we would launch our nukes anyway and they know that so why the hell would they launch a missle on their own soil or anywhere in the mideast and not america. if they got to go out they might as well go out with a bang.

First off, the U.S. won't invade Iran. Iran is too strong (hell, it has an Air Force), and the US is used to invading 3rd World countries with no defenses (Afghanistan, Iraq). Why are they not invading North Korea? Because North Korea has a strong army that would not only put up a fight, but probably beat the US Army quite handily. The Pentagon and the DoD know this.

Secondly, these are NOT nuclear weapons.

Personally, I trust Iran would use their nukes FAR more responsibly than the US. FAR more responsibly.

Sure, they may nuke the US, but really, isn't there a whole other 180 countries out there to keep humanity going? Yeah, there is. Some of them even have McDonalds.

So, yeah, if I was an American, I might be a little worried, since the US government has made a MESS of Iran in the past (they installed the Shah as a dictator way back when, remember?). But I'm not, so whatever.

does iran have the means to launch a missile with a nuclear warhead? Cause i just yesterday read an article which said that a ship from north korea was stoppped and forced to turn back or something, since it was believed the ship was smuggling missiles. could those have been on their way to iran?

Oh yeah.....when a bomb does happen to go off in that area because Iran deems it necessary....(ie: Islamic Bomb) be sure to say its "particles"...its nothing...."well said or well put"......

Nukes are for MEN not for children. There are a few nations that have nukes and WILL dictate to others if they can or can't....fact of life in the age of nukes. When nukes are acquired, rational must be el'primo. N.Korea can have nukes for all I care....but look at who is in charge....does he look like a "rational" thinking man? Iran can have them for all I care....does the term "rationality" fit into the picture for Iran and its theology government?
Think about it.....there are far greater reasons for those having nukes dictating why those who can or can't. I would have seriously thought that the Cold War would have taught many here a lesson on this for the Cold War was a lesson for all to see and witness. This is not entirely a "we can do what we want" world....though many will think that the US is doing just that...but hey, lets keep it to the subject of "nukes"....
