ive heard the the black eagle is russias main tank... is that true??? ive also heard that the black eagle was from 1997.... is that also true??? and if u konw about any other new russian tanks that r going to come out any time then just post pictures links or any other information.... thanks

Black eagle is still in test phase i thought. So i dont think its the mbt yet.

Well this looks like a another Israeli tech transfer to a foriegn country Russia both tanks look quite similar to each other this is just a theory.

i don't think it is going into full scale production, it is just a russian exprienmental tank... russia don't have the funds to go into frull scale production.

The Russian tank looks to be a whole lot bigger than a Merkava.

You would only really know if there had been a technology transfer if we knew what was on the inside, not the outside.

Well take the SU-47 for one I actually thought that it was going to be Russia's next generation Fighter, but as far as I know its only used for experimental stuff. So I guess the Black Eagle is a Prototype for a newer one...

it could be the next fighter but its not a tank... not a ground unit... but it could be the next air fighter tough

the t-95 and the black eagle are 2 different tanks.

the black eagle is a T-80UM2 a racially upgraded t-80UM

what i am saying is that it never went into battle, i know it would be a good tank but if it never went into battle before you will never know how good it is. like the american M1 abrams MBT we know it's a good tank cause it went into battle many times and it sure kick the crap out of the enemy so it's battle proven that it is a good tank.

oh ic so its our MBT but it never went into battle... anybody think that they konw when they will go into battle???

possibley wen the Russians feel like they want to put them in battle, but they may save them for other wars if they feel the war they are fighting is not worth using the Eagles in.
