LOL! I just had to add this...while scanning down the forum page I saw this thread so I clicked thinking it was about Edwards endorsing Obama!

My bad, continue...

That is funny, kosmicjack, but at this point I don't think John Edward (no 's') has gotten involved in the election fiasco. He obviously has better sense than John Edwards (with an 's').

Wasn't he running for the democratic candidacy?

Sparky, clairvoyance DOES exist. It is no trick.
It is important to remember that.

(Unfortunately, John Edward, judging strictly by his performances - not that I have seen very many (perhaps a total of 10 minutes) - is not a clairvoyant or a spirit medium or anything like that.

If anyone wants me to, I can show you exactly how it works in his case.
Just show me a clip - or, better yet, a transcript - of his performances, any clip you want.
(And if I can't discover the "trick", I'll gladly say so.)

If your mother derives comfort from it, it would be wise and healthy to let her know that he doesn't really do what he says he does... but that doesn't mean that anyone should - or even had the right to! - tell her that realms invisible to the eye do not exist.

(LATER EDIT: sorry, somebody mentioned his/her mother, who likes to watch J. E. It may not have been you, but it's somebody's mother, so I won't change a thing.)

I find that "I don't know (how the world works)" is usually the best solace for people: because it is a simple, easily demonstrable, unshakable TRUTH.

I agree with what most of you say....But i have experienced a true psycic before...
she had never met me, i had told her nothing about me
and i made sure i never said anything prior to meeting her as i wanted to see if she was true...
she asked me not to respond to what she was saying as so give nothing away.....
she was spot on all the time....
do you believe some are true?
or do you think all have tricks?

Thank you for this post, Asala.
It is very important to make it clear that clairvoyance absolutely DOES exist - there is no doubt about it.

Just because John Edward is suspicious - and Sylvia Browne, of course, is way beyond mere "suspicion" (give me strength...
) - it doesn't follow that true clairvoyants don't exist.
(It is true, however, that I am yet to see a real one on TV.)

I know for a FACT that clairvoyance is a very real phenomenon.
(And no, I am not going to discuss it.
)
