john edward-crossing over

Taking small amounts of money isn't what proves someone is on the "make"(although Edwards takes alot more than small amounts of money). I dont see how you can compare John Edwards to doctors and nurses who help and cure people, Edwards is a liar. Maybe you consider him to be helping people mentally, but doing so by lying to them IMO is deceitful and wrong.


I wasn't refering to him as he makes more than a small amount. I mean the woman living locally who gives a reading for a small fee, I'm using the doc/nurse analogy to show it doean't neccassarily bode ill for her credibility. Making mega cash from a gift contradicts the main message of spiritualism, which is to strive to the spiritual rather than the material. As for Edwards I believe that a genuine gift may have been subsumed or twisted by corporate demands to come out with ever more fantastic insights and ever more higher cash returns. He needs to step back from this and get back to his roots if there is any genuine ability there at all.

I can't believe some of these comments!!! Why is it that everyone who posted here thinks John Edwards is a fake? Because he makes more money than you? What if he lived in a cardboard box and provided his services for free? Would you still think the same way? Have you ever even watched the show?
I believe that our loved ones can communicate with us after death. My father died two years ago and although he hasn't "spoken" to me, I know he is still here. I have had some incidences where I would have been totally stranded in the middle of nowhere if it hadn't been for his watching over me and making sure I was okay. He communicates with my husband and my brother- in- law all the time thru dreams. He warns them about things and confirms that he is watching over us. Now....if John Edwards were to come to my town, I would sell my soul to have him bridge the gap between me and my Dad. I would give anything to have John Edwards deliver a message from him. Even if I were to hear John himself say he was a fake I wouldn't believe it. I have watched the show and the faces of the people who's lives he has touched and I BELIEVE!

What I find truely amusing is that you guys believe in aliens and UFO's but not in John Edwards

Can't wait 'til someone has their chance to contact John Edward from beyond...

There was a really good South Park episode about ohn Edwards. It's definantly fake, and not really that hard to do yourself.

MK, you say these people go there voluntarily which is true, but lying to them and saying they're loved ones are speaking to him is still wrong.

PA- I agree, it is certainly wrong!!! But I would not go so far as to call it immoral, simply because the folks have a choice (just as Edward does), even if they are deceived. For instance, we are continually being deceived by the media, but it is our choice whether we wish to tune in.

I'm definitely not defending Edward, actually I have a bit of a personal saga against these types.

I agree with your reflection on the doctors and nurses issue. People in the medical field are supposed to utilize results of treatment outcome research. In other words, how do we know this will work and won't cause more harm than it is worth? Look at Thalidomide babies, they were born deformed because of physician-prescribed medication. They didn't use long-term outcome studies.

I wonder what might be the long-term outcome of Edward's "intervention"? Could it possibly cause more harm than good? What do you think?

Well, at least Edwards meets one of two criteria....it is Fiction, hehe....

I can't say that this man is a fake. My wife and I saw John Edwards in Houston about 5 months ago. I would say that being seated in a studio might have it's disadvantages due to conversation being picked up by the mics. But the place we went to was a medium center. It was 3/4 capacity. Maybe 1500 people there. When he picked out 2 relatives of the Columbia Space crew. I would say the chances of picking out 2 people in common in a city of 4 million is pretty amazing.

I too have been to a pyshic that was a very old Korean woman. She was absolutely right about 3 events. She spoke no English. A very good Korean friend of mine inturpreted for her.

And I personally have had some great physic experiences in my life. My wife too.

So I believe we all have the ability. Some may not even realize they have it, others may chalk it up to coincidence. So I have to put a thumbs up for John.

I didnt read everybodies posts so sorry if somebody said this already but you can also do this by watching the audience. Many times people bring items of their dead love ones to hope they get a stronger spiritual connection. It would be easy to see that an a middle aged woman in the audience is alone from anybody and is rubbing her ring finger where a ring would be. Then you can just play on words and slickly pick things out to make it seem like you are getting a real spiritual connection. Theres tons of books on how to do it, and it works.

He was in Lily Dale long before he became popular on TV.


Von Prauge was just there to a full auditorium.

Even the best have down days.

Maybe if you nasayers would take a developement class or two you might see things different.

Of course then you wouldn't need the likes of Edwards or Von Prauge

Just because he wasn't as well known for it before, doesn't mean he's for real. If you really want to prove it for yourself, go to a taping. Get there early.... Try and spot the bus that one member spoke of. (one where people come together, but then disperse through the audience) Sit next to one of these people. Tell them a complete fabrication, of who you're hear to see, etc. See if you get picked, and John babbles back the crap you fed the informant....

Go ahead....I dare ya'....

I read through all of these. For the "fans" I must say I initially was just as amazed by Edwards as any of you. And was trying to make a special trip to see him (I can't afford) because of unresolved issues. I'm SO glad I didn't!!!

All it took to change my mind was a little research. At first it kind of bugged me that he films two hour sessions in a room full of people, that get whittled down to each 30 minute episode and even from that at MOST we see about a half dozen REAL "hits" that we then hear over and over and over as people are interviewed backstage about how much that hit meant.

And on the web: search it yourself. There's NO objective pro Edwards site or any similar declaration except those sites BY John Edwards. And not even many discrediting him...SINCE HE WON'T DO INTERVIEWS!!!

That's the big one for me. Read these sites below then defend John if you can.

The guy refuses to be put up to scrutiny. He won't be 'tested'. He won't accept the standing MILLION DOLLAR prize for anyone that can prove contact with the dead. And the EDITING, EDITING, EDITING is downright CRIMINAL on that show. Cold readers have 59 misses per hit. Explain those 'fans'.
