100 new Abu Ghraib pictures/videos to be released of children and women raped

NEW YORK So what is shown on the 87 photographs and four videos from Abu Ghraib prison that the Pentagon, in an eleventh hour move, blocked from release this weekend? One clue: Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told Congress last year, after viewing a large cache of unreleased images: "I mean, I looked at them last night, and they're hard to believe.” They show acts "that can only be described as blatantly sadistic, cruel and inhumane," he added.

A Republican Senator suggested the same day they contained scenes of “rape and murder.” No wonder Rumsfeld commented then, "If these are released to the public, obviously it's going to make matters worse."

Yesterday, news emerged that lawyers for the Pentagon had refused to cooperate with a federal judge's order to release dozens of unseen photographs and videos from Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq by Saturday. The photos were among thousands turned over by the key “whistleblower” in the scandal, Specialist Joseph M. Darby. Just a few that were released to the press sparked the Abu Ghraib abuse scandal last year, and the video images are said to be even more shocking.

This was stupid of them. People will obviously assume the worst.

This is going to get ugly after a time, mark my words. The images are most likely being stored securely offline by the Pentagon, but there are probably originals, or at least raw data, floating around somewhere. What's the bet the whistleblower or friends/kin gets sick of this game and release the material in question?

Being America committed these attrocities they NEED to be brought to light to show the world what there REALLY doing.

America is so quick to jump on the bandwagon of human rights and showing other countries there bad deeds..

America deserves to be punished for its actions in IRAQ.
the Government deserves to be punished for going INTO Iraq.

- the 'powers that be' are intentionally destroying the credibility of USA
- they want to incite the people to such a revolting state; that we will force our govt to step down; all of them; everyone
- the henry kissinger stuff may be true like "by the time were done the USA will be begging for UN troops to come save them"

Keep in mind that germany is thought of very well, but that is after much trial and failure...
Japan is thought of nicely, and they were guilty of far worse than prisoner abuse during ww2

of course America will bear ill will from the world, but MUCH will be forgotten and forgiven all too soon... as other countries atrocities will be brought to the forefront... (anyone hear about sudan recently, those scallywags).

*ALSO OF NOTE:
rape of young boys in the islamic culture is about as accepted as it is in American prisons... so it is very possible that many of these pics are off IRAQIS raping Iraqi young while being incarcerated... (as is the case of the well known pic with "rapist" written on the butt cheek)... but you do not hear about this angle...

because to most, it does not matter if our soldiers raped anyone or if we sat back and allowed prisoners to rape each other, as a form of debasement and torture...

These pictures aren't being released because they shine a very bright and clear light on how despicably our military is behaving in this action (no doubt with the permission and under the watchful eye of their leaders). It’s shameful, contemptible!

As the flag-covered coffin pictures were censored; these are being kept from the public. This keeps the truth from us. There's no denying that. This administration is hiding so much!

Deny ignorance, but don't deny the truth!

I imagine that this is just the tip of the iceberg. These are just the pictures and information that are slipping through the cracks. Imagine all the other information that this administration is successfully concealing from the public!

I do believe that the photos exist. Why else would Rumsfeild, and others be discussing them as if they do?

IMHO though I really do not see what it matters if the photos are released or not. We have plenty of photos from the first round of Abhu Graib, and those were not enough to get people up in arms (figuratively).

What will be the difference? The general pubic will continue to believe what they want to reguardless of whether or not there is photographic evidence.......after all it was just the acts of a few rogue soldiers , remember?

If an soldier dies sometimes i dont feel any sympathy towards them because of this stuff. The Amercain soldiers fights for a no cause and have no critrion in life that is way these things happen.

The doctor who examined her saw no signs of rape and she doesn't remember being raped. If she had been sodomized with a rifle she would have probably had bleeding out of her rectum. The site on the end of the rifle would have probably damaged the tissue on the outside of her rectum making it very noticable to a doctor.

The Jessica Lynch story was used as propaganda right from the beginning and is still being used as propaganda even though much of it has been proven false.
