If this is true (I dont think it is) then why would you need to use a lake? Why would it not work just to look in a mirror?

I hear all the time warnings against using a OUIJA BOARD. Some say it will open a door to the spirit world. And it might just invite some evil spirits into your world.

This stunt sounds very familiar to using a OUIJA BOARD!

Can someone post whether any physical harm has ever come from a ghost or spirit? Has anyone ever gotten beaten or killed by physical means? I do not mean that someone died from fright. That is another type of animal.. if you know what I mean. But so far I do not know of anyone that has been hurt or killed by a spirit. Therefore there really is nothing to be afraid of now - is there?!

I think that the majority of people that heard of this will never try it for fear of something terrible happening. What if someone told you to take one bullet, put it into a gun and spin the chamber and then pull the trigger while pointing it at your head - would you do it? Of course not - because you know there are odds there that are not favorable to a good outcome.

The unknown is also in the same vain as it conjures up thoughts of the worst that could happen.

The experiment is worth trying but make sure your friend that you bring is as tough as nails and can handle being frightened.

I for one am curious as to the outcome but do not have the gall to try it. By the way, I also do not want to try the OUIJA BOARD either!!!!

Nostradamus used a mirror. It was a black mirror. Ever hear of a black mirror, well, the mirrors we use today are all silver mirrors.

The black mirror, when combined with a candle light, and looked into at an angle, so that you are not seen, will show images. It also helps if your doing ancient acid like Nostradamus used in his day. But he seen the future and it included the writtings that he is famous for.

I hope to become someones ghost after I die!!!!

Well, I just saw this for the first time, and I must say, it is laughable, but attemptable. So I modified the "experiment" for my kids and their friends at a sleepover.

I took the mirror and table doohickie and placed it in my bathtub. I turned the whirlpool motor on and invited the kids in, two at a time. Oh, and there were tons of candles lit, but the lights were off.

Talk about a scare better than the Bloody Mary one! (I let my kids do that one, too). The other psychological factor not covered is the fact that two people will have each other ramped up quadruple what they normally would be.

Good stuff!

Oh, and I did it by myself afterwards. Nice "smoke and mirrors" effect.

EVENTUALLY WHEN YOU BECOME MESMERISED WITH THE MIRROR, YOU WILL CEASE TO SEE YOUR OWN REFLECTIONS IN THE MIRROR AND THE REFLECTION OF THE RUNNING WATER, AND A KIND OF DARK SHAPE OF ONE FORM OR ANOTHER WILL APPEAR IN THE MIRROR.
This shape is an existing being, that is alive like you and i, but it is of a different form. it will be kind of dull, and looking at it will frighten you.
but stay and keep staring at it, because it is also staring at you. now if you or your friend gets really scarred, to the thing that is looking at you, it will see this fear as a vibrant display of one form or another, and this is very attractive to this kind of being, and then it will try and come out of the mirror to BE WITH YOU ...TO BE CLOSE TO YOU AND TO ...GET THIS.....STAY WITH YOU FOREVER AND EVER. EVEN when you are 100 years old and dying, this being will be next to you if you let it get out of the mirror.... trust me.
you will know it is trying to get out of the mirror, because the mirror will start getting kind of dragged about in the water by some mysterious force, IT WILL START TO FLAIL AROUND.
this is when you must pull that mirror clean out of the water WITHOUT BREAKING IT.
IF IT BREAKS ...YOU HAVE JUST GOT YOURSELF A NEW MATE...THAT IS WHY I STRESS THE WHOLE SET UP HAS TO BE VERY STRONG.
it may be difficult to get the mirror out of the water, but if you run off and leave it in the water. the thing will still come out and believe me it will catch you in 100th of a second.
the thing to know is, this being will be like a dark dull mass, something you have never seen before, and if you run it will run after you and it will always be just nearly getting you. it does this because it knows that by being close to you, that vibrant display ( your fear is at a max)
it will also be attracted to anger or laughter.
if it does get out and come after you, just sit still and it will also be still, laugh and it will come close, be scarred and it will come close.
basically just accept it. if it comes out you have just got yourself the closest friend you will ever have.
know this though....
it has absolutely nothing in common with you, it does not have dna or genetics, it does not talk or smell or see, as you or i do.
it is capable of many things, things you or i cannot comprehend, things that are unknown to us and thing that are UNKNOWABLE TO US.
MAYBE YOU WILL WORK OUT A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION WITH THIS THING, using your will, but that is all, and maybe the thing will take you places and do things that are not of our world with you.

the mirror acts as a window to another plane so to speak. a plane where everything and i mean everything we know as human beings is totally meaningless.

I never did get around to doing this, again i stress that i made this thread almost 3 years ago lol so please forgive my choice of words in the original post,

The goal of such evil being is making more believe in it and fear it.
If society has a slow exposure with lil fear this will be an evolution to the right place.

As far as us being meaningless and demon is meaningless it is one who thought it had all the answers of god and most thinking they were equal to god now they have all the answer and yet nothing at all.

So all in all our lives have all sorts of meaning and reason.

Read some stuff on the ghost or spirit world. There seems to be some corolation between us being able to see them and the vibration of the ghost / spirit entity.

It seems that if you could vibrate at a different frequency, then you too could either see those ghost/spirits/entities. Or you would be seen by them in their world.

Ever hear of the theory that you have many twins living in other worlds similar to ours, living the same life as yours? And if you were able to time travel, you might just pass by one of those worlds and meet yourself. If you left their world and tried to go back, there would be a degree of offset, so that you would most likely never get back to the same place you visited. And since there are many timelines associated with you, you would meet yourself again, but in different circumstances. I believe Time Traveler Titor described it too.

Maybe the water is somehow creating a worm hole in the mirror allowing someone to get into our world from theirs? And how do we know that this somebody.. is evil? If I threaten you - am I evil? If I insult you am I evil? If I ignore you, am I evil? There are many degrees to this question of what is evil. And it's really up to the person experiencing the effect to determine whether it's an evil experience or a darn exciting one! Look at roller coasters.. the thrill to me is not scary but fun. Some might disagree with that!

Chanting also stimulates the vibration process. Perhaps the water rushing past the mirror creates the necessary vibrations to provide a means. As does mechanical items we live with. We should look more into this and ask someone who might be familiar with such workings or tails!!

Yes, there has. I've asked my uncle about it once when I got into a long discussion about the paranormal; he knows quite a bit about that stuff. I don't know where he got this from but he told me that there was a place somewhere in Illinois that was an Indian burial ground. Then came someone who wanted to turn that area into a block of houses, so what he did is destroy all proof and records of the fact that that was a burial ground. After he had all the houses built, people settled into them. After a while everyone in that block began reporteing some extremely weird things. One seen the ghosts of children dancing around, then another had this story. He was in his garage working on something with the garage door opened. Suddenly, it slammed down most of the way. Next, he seen black (shadow?) snakes hissing and slithering in when the door fell all the way after that. The owner was in his garage, in the dark, and could hear the snakes hissing. After a while, the garage door rolled up, and the snakes were gone............Things like that were happening in just that one area. Finally, a native claimed he knew what was wrong. He said that the place is haunted by the people buried here.

I'll try to get more details on this later. Anyway, as for the ouija boards, there's another story behind that. This one took place in Poland. Two or three people (probably older teens) sorta rented some woman's house for the night (bed and breakfast I think it's called). While there, they decided to use a ouija board. Apparently it worked sine the woman's house became haunted and she commited suicide afterwards.

You see, ghosts can't get up and start messing you up, but they can scare you until you go crazy. Like I siad, I'll try to find out more asap. It's best not to mess around with things that have to do with spirits, it's always dangerous. Always.


edit: I just remembered something, that same uncle has in fact gotten physically touched by a ghost on two occasions. His house is in fact haunted, even my grandma who tries not to beleive/think about ghosts claims to have heard odd things. OK, here's what happend. My uncle fell asleep on his bed with one of his young kids downstairs unattended. Then something, woke him up by gently tugging on his leg. Whatever it was, it was invisible and he says it felt like a physical hand. Two months later, a similar event happend. To back up the fact that his house is haunted, both of the previous owners died. Supposedly they were a very nice couple. Perhaps they want to help out? In addition to that, my uncle has:
1) heard someone going up his wooden stairs at night (each step one by one, made a soft creek)
2) had the feeling of being watched many times
3) once when he heard those footsteps, his son's bedroom door (he was only about 3 at the time) slightly opened and that kid must have seen something cuz he screemed in terror.

I tried this.. And im done. This is the first thread I listened to, and im out. My best advice to other people is to just let this go, and dont try it. This is the kind of thing outside of our understanding, and well out of the safety bounds of a normal person. Just dont.

there is no universal ghost in the world,every ghost,monster,demon,spirit?
they all have different capabilities,one of the most paranormal maybe even haunted place you could ever go to experience is Hawaii.

there are so many different types of ghost/demons/spirits/etc
some or most can not kill you but most of the times they make you very very sick and the ones that can kill you like as the march of ghosts at night in Hawaii is very scary..people actually died from those ghosts.

Apparently mirrors are used to "summon" demons in the Goetia.

I got a "virtual" ouija board some time ago. It's built to react like a spirit. Wish I could find a copy somewhere in the internet (I had it on a demo cd).

I find this disgusting that you would attempt this not only on your own kids but other peoples childen.

You had or have no idea that this is`nt harmless.I know i`d be on your door step if you got my kids involved with anything like this,and it would`nt be pretty for you.

It's OK, the guy did not follow instructions properly. If your going to try an experiment.. then follow it to the letter. Do not modify it for simplicity. And above all, do it on yourself first before attempting to bring others into it.

I agree... let's say something went wrong... what would you do at that point... it states in the article that this demon or whatever it's called is with you for the rest of your existance... possibly into the after-life... but then again, after your die, perhaps you could also get to come back to life and haunt someone else thats brave enough to try it!!!!

As I said above, I did try it.. And the best advice I can offer to oher people is don't. I'll leave my reasons as my own, but doing this with someone and not explaining what your doing is almost suicidally irresponsible..

Hey, I haven't feared much in my life yet, and I've been around a whole lot of paranormal stuff. My roommate reads stuff like, The Key of Solomon? Or something like that and studies seals and rituals of the occult. So I think he would help me out. The only thing that halfway bothers me is that I laugh alot. I can never take anything seriously. I mean, I'll probably start making jokes about it. (Yeah, I know, I'm retarded). But I'm too lazy to make this thing alone. If anyone lives in Georgia and wants to see it, then I'll help. If the worst thing happens, I'll have some .. thing attatched to me forever. I can live with that. I think I'd go to mediums and around psychic places and all and scare the # out fo people who can feel it there or see it. Ha. I'd have fun with it. But anyway, yeah...Georgia, the state in the US, not the country. U2U me if interested. If I decide to do this anyway, I'll post back with the results.
