Well, I'm a Christian and obviously should not be involved in this occult nonsense, but anybody here try any of the rituals in the Goetia (ie: Howling art)? Nothing happened is the response I'm expecting.

I think something would happen if you stand in a river with freezing cold water this time of the year for 30 minutes. That doesn't exactly sound like my idea of fun. It sounds more like a hypothermia endurance test. It might be amusing to watch some college students doing it though if someone announced they were going to do it. I didn't even think the polar bear club stayed in the water for 30 minutes though.

River right next to my house but it's frozen which sucks. Even if I could get to it, it would look pretty stupid to haul a table with a mirror into it and stare like a fool while everybody is walking their dogs and eating ice cream and that sort of thing during the summer.

If you don't read anything else in this thread, read Byrd's [as usual] well reasoned rational response. Bottom-line is things have the power you give them. Nobody can scare you like you can.

All I can picture is two people in a river staring at a mirror they've mounted to a table [see this is already funny] waiting on...an unworldly creature. Suddenly, a perch swims up somebody's trunks. Screaming and flailing ensues...

Anywho, the trick itself may not present results, but it's "training" to get you engaged in these activities so that you have less fear for the stuff that does work. That in itself, is warning enough not to play with it I think.

Well i got my mirror, table, friend and went to the river. I put it just below the surface, stared hard into , and saw an idiot, standing in a river with another idiot, staring in a mirror. Then piranahs ate us. Bummer

i havnt read it all but its probally just an illusion. Somethin psycological. Like i find just staring at one spot for a few mins makes everything go spotty and hazy, this is probally the same.. over stimulating the rods in your eye balls or sumin.

So why would you need a brave friend. They'd be in no danger at all.

Out of curiosity, I think when the warmer weather comes around, I'll try this out. I'm sure I've experienced worse.

what you are describing is a "watered down" elemental summoning ritual.Please anyone who reads that be informed you do NOT want to mess with anything like that unless you have the strength of mind to keep your sanity.If you get the process right you may seriously find yourself in need of healing.
